Moonee Valley Races Saturday 24th July 2010

An improving track up to a slow 7, the weather is a lottery as overcast and possible showers. Last week it was a good day. Race 2 Breitling $3.50 turned the tables on Soul was backed solidly. Race 3 Triumphant Choice $3.20 into $2.70 came away with the money for us. I also backed the $15 pop Beijing Bolt at $250 each way and paid $4.15 the place. Race 6 Reward for Effort $3 came home for us. And the best for last, race 8 Tonic $13.90 got up for us.

Race 1 – No 2 Hollowlea $13 showed some good speed his only two runs, his last start forget as much better than it looks. He raced greenly and will only be better now. No 4 Someday Somehow $2.60 is a nice filly and won well her first start at Moonee Valley and eased down to the line. No 1 Broadcast $4.50 (good money in markets now $7 - $4.50) a Snowden runner was trialled back in February before being put away. Snowden will usually give them a run in the countryside first but obviously rates this horse a chance. No 6 Bell Trees $5.50 ran a heck of a first race. Showed good speed but caught wide leading and when headed kept fighting hard, will be much better for that racing.

Race 2 – No 8 Starred for Life $8 ran a gutsy race last start, was run over the top of late and should have trained on since then. No 6 Diazling $8.50 is sure to be very fit and Oliver is a good trainer. Was really finishing race of late last start and looks like extra metres to suit. No 9 Street Belle $3.80 is very light with the claim and won well last start. No 2 Dorsodura $3.50 ran a nice race last start for a good win.

Race 3 – Watch the betting on No 7 Assertive Albert $5, I am looking forward to seeing this horse run and breeding looks good. Is also nominated Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday as well. No 1 Rue Maple $2.40 last two runs solid at the Valley and the claim helps a lot. No 3 Charbert $7.50 is a solid horse and sure to be ready to run first up. No 6 Frustrating $9 from Patinack (Tinkler) gets the perfect barrier and racing well.

Race 4 – No 6 Mangonui $4.20 ran a solid first up race. Has an excellent second up record and Williams gets on board a big bonus. No 9 Dalooka $5.50 last two runs have been really good, sure to have trained on. No 2 Twenty Grand hasn’t really found his best form yet in Victoria, last start looked better. No 4 Sacred Orders $6 for multiples.

Race 5 – I like this race, the apprentices cup. No 1 Das Machen $3.20 is racing well and the claim helps her a lot. No 8 Chouxmaani $13 has a good second up record and her first up run wasn’t too bad. No 7 Games Minx $7 two runs back met Ghostmilk who was too classy, last start she over raced. No 4 Pink Shimmer $7 is an old girl but racing well. Also 3, 10 and 12 could all come into it as a very open race to me.

Race 6 – Another open race. No 12 Macedonian $13 could be forward in training here. Has gone alright first up over distance but will be better as distance steps up. No 1 Pinnacles $7 is carrying 60kgs but can do it for sure. No 2 Dane Keeper $7, just forget his last run. He pulled up coughing so could have swallowed a clod. No 5 Bonindi $8 was very strong last start after being ran over, fought hard to the line.

Race 7 – No 10 Streaky Fella $5.50 is running really well, and with this weight and Nolen on board a huge threat. No 6 Crabs $6.50 is also running well and the 3kg claim helps a lot, worked home really well last start. No 3 Tinamou $ 3.80 from Smerdon and Boss the current favourite but too short for me. Is yet to win beyond 2000mtrs but did show a glimpse of running further 2 starts back. No 1 Figure of Speech $7 has got a big weight but sure to be in this a long way.

Race 8 – No 1 Viking Turf Belle $3 is going to be hard to beat, the 3kg claim brings her right into this. No 5 Belle’s Ready $7.50 is going to be much better for her first up run. No 7 Save a Penny $ $7.50 isn’t too far away from breaking through for a city win. No 2 Woppit $4.80 is also going to be much fitter here after her first two runs this preparation.

I have 2 outright bets and 2 each way bets that I have for tomorrow. If you want to know what I am backing, leave a comment and your email. It won’t be published and I will send through my bets and also my best multiples for the day.

Quadrella numbers – 1,3,4,7,8,10,12 / 1,2,5,12 / 1,3,6,10 / 1 at a cost of $112 a full unit.

Caulfield Races Saturday 17th July 2010

This week I had 5 bets from Monday to Thursday for 3 winners and a 2nd and a miss. It has been a good week and I have 4 big bets for tomorrow at Caulfield, I am waiting word on one runner from the track before having a plunge on it. If you want my 4 big bets leave your email and I will send them to you as well as my best multiple bets for the day.

The track has improved to a dead which all I can say is, “thank you” as the heavy tracks were getting a bit tiring.

Race 1 – No 2 Red Buttons $2.60 is much better than his last start. He usually handles the wet but the heavy 10 was too much and forget the run. Will be much better in this going. No 4 Schawmen $15 was spelled for a long 483 days before returning and has 3 runs under his belt now. He isn’t such a bad horse and will only get better with fitness and distance and could be the big improver. No 3 Diamondsondinside $9 will be better for the two runs and training on, sure to be very fit and give this a big shake.

Race 2 – No 1 Soul $3.50 won on debut well, Snowden is very patient with horses and will often let them find their feet in the country but Soul went straight to town and won easily. No 3 Breitling $3.50 ran 2nd to Soul and it was a good first up run and sure to have trained on since then. No 9 Achievements $8 you can totally forget his first run. Was slow away and hung off the track, pulled up sore and spelled. Has been passed by the vets now and sure to be a big chance here, watch markets very closely. No 8 Valedictorian $15 is well bred so watch markets.

Race 3 – No 8 Triumphant Choice $3.20 the well bred Redoute’s Choice son looks to have matured well during his long spell. It was only a low maiden win at Sale but was impressive and showed a sparkling of his dad. Drops a heap of weight as you would expect and a big threat. No 2 Count Cool $7 comes into this running well and very light. Will definitely be a chance if track gets on the better side of slow. No 1 Stoneblack $4 is running well and probably Australia’s best distance jockey aboard. Hasn’t got a great record at this track is a worry, likes the tight Valley track. No 4 Beijing Bolt $10 (I had a small bet of $250 each way at $15 & $4.15) will come into this if the track is on the good side of slow or better

Race 4 – No 4 Bolle $17 has a good second up record and last preparation beat No Jurisdiction and close behind Carbon Trader after getting no favours in that run. Is sure to be a lot fitter. No Dr Nipandtuck $3.60 is racing solidly, has Boss on board and will get a great sit from the barrier. No 6 Makeadreamcometrue $13 is running well below his best form but the better track should improve his chances. No 2 Trustus $3.20 will also be in this a long way.

Race 5 – This is a very open race and I am going for value. No 12 Lord of the Parrots $11 from Moroney has only two starts for a win and a good third. Drops a heap of weight and will sure to be more prominent than last start. No 10 Tan Tat Tess $9.50, the Testa Rossa filly needs to start finding her feet, she has shown some glances of her dad’s brilliance and here gets plenty of weight off her back and a better track. No 3 Regal Banter $7.50 is across from Sydney and the Encosta De Lago gelding has decent form. If he can find the other way of going he could be a threat. No 6 Hasta Pronto $15 is second up and does have talent, will appreciate the weight drop and better track.

Race 6 – No 11 Reward for Effort $3 (money has come all day for this horse and I took the early market at $3.30) Peter Moody said he wasn't sure where the horse exactly was in fitness, he is a very smart colt, just look at his record. He will be adding to his resume and then off to stud in the not too distant future. No 5 Arinos $5.50 is a lightly raced 6yo with an excellent record at distance and first up. No 12 Champagne Harmony $13 has come up against some very smart horses and raced well against them, first up will be in this a long way. No 1 Royal Ida $7.50 is the old guy of the field but has a big heart and will race hard all the way.

Race 7 – No 1 Jungle Ruler $9 I can forgive his last run, it was a shocker but before that his form very solid. With a firmer track will be right up there. No 3 Arch Symbol $6.50 was close to the short favourite here, 2 starts back. In that run was slow away and out wide but made good ground to finish a close 2nd. No 2 Philda $2.50 is a little skinny to me, is racing well but too short for me. No 4 Schilling $31 could be a big bonus to the multiples, ran a good race after a 497 day spell, is a smart horse and wouldn’t surprise me if he runs a big race.

Race 8 – No 5 Tonic $11 has changed stables, in Darren Weir’s hands now and is a capable horse. Has a terrible first up record but I think Weir will have her forward. No 2 Live in Sin $6 you can forget last start as a shocker, is a much better hose than this and is a threat. No 4 Big Spirit $4.60 is backing up from last week after winning well, is sure to have trained on and extra metres should be perfect. No 8 Bubble Below $9.50 has been super consistent this preparation and will again be right in this.

The quadrella races 5,6,7,8. My numbers are 1,2,3,6,9,10,12 / 5,11 / 1,2,3 / 2,4,5,8 at a cost of $168 a full unit.

Flemington Races Saturday 10th July 2010

A slow 7 track, with fine weather forecast could mean an upgrade is possible. Last week we had a few good winners and both my best bets got up and the quadrella paid $2,800 for the $360 investment.

Race 1 – 12.05 – No 6 Little Artist $3.30 won her only start on debut in a maiden at Ballarat. The time is better than it looks, and she won well really showing a turn of foot winning easily. No 2 Royal Bender $4.60 has won her two starts and this is biggest test to date, has blinkers on for the first time which will help her as well as when she was pressured last start she did look around a little. No 4 Dutchy’s Lass $8.50 ran three good races her first preparation. Broke through for a good win and then spelled for 199 days. No 1 Cyndiana Star $15 with the 3kg claim gives her a big chance.

Race 2 – 12.40 – No 5 Baltic Spirit $8 hasn’t set the world on fire thus far. You look at his dad’s Bel Esprit record as a 3yo and this horse has looked much more mature his two runs this preparation. Was scratched midweek in an easier race. No 2 Big Spirit $4.80 has an excellent record this distance and also 100% second up. No 6 Recorrido $7.50 is nominated this coming Wednesday and Thursday, if starts here is a chance, needs to jump better than has been. No 1 Our Baby Bonus $2.20 with the 3kg claim is again a big chance, is giving some of these weight though but a class horse in the making.

Race 3 – 1.15 – No 5 Tinamou $2.70 is going great guns, is up in weight but the claim will help and is sure to be right in this till the end. No 8 Miss Lily Rose $4.40 has come back from the spell with two good runs, with the claim is very light and sure to be coming home hard. No 2 Pass Me By $8.50 should be looking for this distance and more, showed heaps of guts after looking gone last start fighting back and finishing off the race well. No 4 Abitofado $9 is racing well, the claim of 3kgs will give him a very good shot here.

Race 4 – 1.50 – No 10 Shylock’s Daughter $5 was scratched midweek for this much harder race. Is running well and the extra metres should be what she wants. No 11 Jervois $7 is racing well this preparation and has come across from South Australia for another tilt in Victoria. No 1 Oak Heart $4.50 is a chance, King is sure to give a good run and the wide track much better suited. No 2 Saddler’s Story $17 will only improve with distance and sure to be much better here.

Race 5 – 2.26 – No 9 Lord of Arms $9 has returned from a spell with two excellent runs. Drops a heap of weight and also gets a top jockey on board. No 2 Good Value $6 has won all his 3 races. This by far is the biggest test but looked good winning last start finding the line hard. No 4 St Clement Dane $11 has disappointed with 3 wins from 10 starts. The two runs this preparation have looked a lot better and he might be finding his feet finally. No 3 Royal Dalton $7.50 has only been better with racing, drops in weight and very good jockey on board.

Race 6 – 3.03 – It is impossible to go past No 5 Doubtful Jack $2.60, His last two wins have been devastating and the only other chance I can see in the race is his stable mate No 10 Ghostmilk $6 who is also on fire and she will have to be at her best to beat her stable mate. No 3 Philda $15 is sure to be super fit and last run impressed with the way he finished off the race for a very good win. No 8 Outlandish Lad $35 is sure to appreciate a drier track.

Race 7 – 3.38 – No 6 Elusive Touch $3.50 was impressive first up and will again be hard to hold out. Finished 2nd just off the very smart Captain Coltish. Sure to be hard to beat. No 3 Midnight Mustang $4.80 has a good second up record and finished his last race off very well. A smart horse and need to respect. No 7 Whiston $8 hasn’t drawn the best barrier but won well first up and a 100% second up record. No 2 Commanding Hope $9.50 is more than capable of carrying the big weight and will run an honest race for sure.

Race 8 – 4.15 – No 2 Winged Charm $3.30 is a very nice horse and should get the perfect run here. Boss is sure to give her a beautiful ride and will be hard to hold out. No 7 Lamichi $7.50 is a maiden but I think she has a good chance here watching her races. No 4 Dorsoduro $7.50 is going to appreciate the extra metres here and has been finding the line well. No 1 Mount Fleuri $3.50 is up in weight but last two races have been excellent runs so respect.

The quadrella I am expanding the first leg as in the secong leg No 3 Philda and No 10 Ghostmilk have been scratched leaving only No 5 Doubtful Jack as the only runner.

Quadrella races 5,6,7,8: Numbers are 2,3,4,9 / 3,5,10 / 2,3,6,7 / 1,2,4,7 costs $192 for a full unit

So my new numbers are: 1,2,3,4,6,9 / 5 / 1,2,3,6,7 / 1,2,4,7 for a cost of $120 a full unit

I am a professional punter living outside Australia. I punt for a living and for years been helping my mates out with my tips. I have friends on the inside and a professional at reading form. I watch 100’s of videos each week to pick my winners.

I only bet on Victorian races. At times when Victorian horses are interstate I will offer tips at those meetings.

Sandow Lakeside Races 7th July 2010

A heavy track and looking for mudlarks again. This time of year, lots of wet tracks, need to know breeding and what horses can handle the wet. The first 2 races are a steeple and a hurdle race.

Race 1 – Mt Townsend is nominated in a 100k race on Sunday at Warrnambool, if he starts here will be very hard to beat. No 3 Famous Prince also nominated on Sunday at Warrnambool and also a big threat if starts. No 6 Our Santa will give this a good shake on current form.

Race 2 – No 7 Fasilenko has run two very good hurdle races last two starts. Only new to jumping for 5 races and 3 times in the money. No 4 Bullecourt is another nominated in a 100K race Sunday at Warrnambool, is a solid performer over hurdles. No 1 Grizz also nominated at Warrnambool and can carry the big weight here of 69kgs if starts.

Race 3 – No 1 Storm Burst went to Cranbourne for a kill and did just that with a really easy win. Nolen the top stable rider on board and a big chance to make it two in a row. No 2 Melted should get better with distance. Others for multiples the field.

Race 4 – No 6 Fall in Love finally gets a good barrier after running two excellent races from wide barriers. This is a step up in class but form is solid. No 4 Madam Prosecutor you have to give another chance, last start forget as form solid before this. Jockey thought the horse was lame, but it was vetted and no problems. No 7 Little Tycoon is running very well. No 8 Mousseline is a better horse than shown so far, last start was better.

Race 5 – No 8 Chive Bloom looks to have matured, looked much better last start and this is harder but still in with a big shot. No 2 Testapal returned to racing with a good win and will only get better with distance. No 4 Distillery let me down last start but this distance is better. No 10 Hotham Heights ran a decent race first up, this horse led up Kidnapped in the group 3 Carbine Club but weakened 300mtrs out. This distance should be perfect.

Race 6 – No 6 Dazzling Rubi looked good returning from a spell. Many things point her way and looks a big chance. No 13 Speedy Mac finished his last race off well. It wasn’t an easy run but still got over the top of them. No 3 Dandy Dollar has a terrible record over this distance and the track but closed in late well last start. No 5 Euphoric Realm is running very well, just the track condition the question.

Race 7 – No 1 Shylock’s Daughter is carrying weight but the 3kg claim gives her another big chance for a win here. No 2 Rubinacci ran a decent race before fading late last start, Boss probably the best distance jockey on board you have to respect. No 5 Metung Belle ran a big race last start, wouldn’t give up and will be much fitter here. Also meets Shylock’s 3.5kgs better at the weights. No 8 Sweet Hollow will definitely be better at this distance and further.

Race 8 – No 5 Miles Above looked good winning first up. A hard run being wide all the way but still way to good for them. No 14 Blind ran 2nd in that race and meets Miles Above better at the weights. No 11 Trajet come from a long way back in the same race, to run a very good third. No 4 Jetconi goes well at this distance and also in the wet.

Quadrella numbers, races 5,6,7,8

2,3,4,8,10 / 3,5,6,13 / 1,2,5,8 / 1,4,5,11,14 cost a $1 unit $400

I do expect a few scratchings, so the quadrella should become a little cheaper.

Ballarat Races Sunday the 4th July 2010

A heavy 10, so I am looking for mudlarks for the day.

Race 1 – No 7 Rock of Tara hasn’t had a win in 10 starts but a very good chance here to break the duck. Ran a trial over 1200mtrs in okay time so should be forward in fitness being first up. No 8 Glancing you can forget last start as this was a terrible run, was slow away and then over raced. No 5 Konigssee is 7 runs for only a third. Is much better than this if you look at breeding and now a 3yo is sure to find his feet soon. Watch betting on No 9 Becerra, a first starter for Lee Freedman that hasn’t been seen in public. Out of Al Maher who was a smart 2yo that won some nice group races around this distance.

Race 2 – No 1 Castironguarantee from Tony Vasil with Oliver aboard was scratched from a much easier race last Tuesday at Geelong. No 4 Major Event didn’t have a lot of luck last start, got caught on the rail and ended up 3 wide only getting clear late with 150mtrs to go. Finished race off well. No 7 Zero to Gold only start forget as was wide and never got onto the track.

Race 3 – Paranoid a 3yo Colt by Exceed and Excel is being placed here to finally get his first win. Is very well bred and sure to be ready to win this for connections. No 2 I Mattah looked good on returning from a spell. No clear run in the straight and looked to have plenty in the tank. No 4 Master Jules also ran a decent race his only start.

Race 4 – No 7 Lucidus ran a gutsy race first up. There was a good betting move late for her and she just fell short. No 8 Martika is a big threat. A big chance to win he first race here. No 3 Candy Stripes has two trials under her belt and should be forward here.

Race 5 – No 3 – Black Artois won well first up after finish off her race strongly and the extra metres here looks perfect for her. No 5 Wassaic is well bred and looks so close to showing the ability he really has. No 2 Forever Fight finished well back first up but is a much better horse than this and is sure to be a lot fitter. No 4 Roll with It is racing well and the extra distance should suit the way he is finishing off his races.

Race 6 – No 8 Mr. Quiet with Oliver getting on board late tips me towards him. He is racing well and with such an experienced rider will be a big chance. No 1 Chang goes well first up and will be right in this. No 5 Stormaway looked a lot more comfortable on the heavy track winning last start. No 4 A Toda Ley has 4 solid runs this preparation and Rawiller on board will be in this for sure.

Race 7 – This is a very hard race. No 6 Celtic Empire looks like he wants this extra distance as has been working home well. The claim of 1.5kg will also help a lot. No 13 Streaky Fella is racing well and having Nolen get on board is a chance for sure. No 9 Little Slapper has raced well this preparation, looks set for this and will be in this a long way. No 10 Robdon Flyer has 4 solid runs this preparation, and will also be super fit for this.

Race 8 – No 13 Versary won very impressively and then spelled immediately. She wasn’t touched that day and looked like a walk in the park winning by 6 lengths. No 5 Close the Door has an excellent first up record. No 11 The Enterprise could make it two wins in a row here. No 4 Prince Kung is racing honestly and should be in this a long way.

Quadrella numbers; races 5,6,7,8

2,3,4,5,7 / 1,4,5,8,9 / 2,6,9,10,13,15 / 5,11,13 at a cost of $450 a full $1 unit
