Wodonga Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia
Race 1 – 1200mtrs 3yo Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.41pm
A hard maiden to start the day so watch markets. No 1 Ackerie not a bad debut as was slowly away and took a while to get into the race but finished off alright and should benefit from the run. First starter No 2 Edlin on breeding could sprint well as dad was handy over 1200 and then right out to 2400mtrs. This was many years ago and mum also wasn’t a complete mug either. No 3 Past Favours is one that could go alright here but I do think will be better suited around the mile and beyond. No 5 Malibu Belle on debut a little go at odds for her but she was very disappointing on the heavy going so maybe one that just have to give a chance to.
Race 2 – 1600mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 02.16pm
A weak maiden here and I give No 2 Full O Hope a chance after stepping out to the mile with a good run. Never threatened the leader but was solid. No 1 Billinsky if the rain stays away I think will appreciate the better track than first up from the spell. The trainer has not gone for an apprentice and a claim so confident the horse can carry the top weight. No 6 Cashmere Lass is one that you need to keep safe in multiples for me. No 4 Uncle Cobber is 17 starts and no win but a place chance for me in this weak race.
Race 3 – 1100mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 02.53pm
Another tricky maiden and keep an eye on local trainer Cox’s first starter No 9 Polish Rose and markets will be a good guide. No 8 Bon Rieu first up run was solid before disappointing second up. Has been freshened and expect a better showing. No 1 Alzone seemed a lot better late last preparation and hopefully comes back from the spell improved. No 3 Racers N Chasers back from his first spell and last start not so bad.
Race 4 – 1200mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 03.31pm
Not a strong handicap race here and No 3 Curlashot looks hard to beat on current form. Will lead and set the tempo and I cannot see a lot of other genuine speed here. Last start set a very good pace and looked gone 200mtrs out but fought back but died the last 50. No 1 Howie isn’t racing too bad and can carry the weight.
Race 5 – 1100mtrs 0 - 58 Handicap – 04.06pm
Another weak handicap race here and best of what I can see for me is No 2 Jumpinmycar as I watched about 6 races of his and he can really finish his races off and has a couple of runs coming into this and a big threat for me. No 5 Remedia has been racing without a genuine spell since April but is going alright. No 6 Leg Room I think is the horse with most potential in this field and on her day more than handy. They have to let her lead here at this weight and give the rest something to catch. No 4 Shivoo all I can say is she is better than the runs she has posted this preparation and if she clicks a big threat.
Race 6 – 1100mtrs 0 – 58 Handicap – 04.46pm
No 3 Princess Rage if starts is going to be hard to beat for me on current form. Both runs back have been good and haven’t been easy as caught wide and no cover. Hopefully Rebecca can get her across and settled with a nice cart as she has the speed to finish over the top for me. No 9 Venus Di Milo is a bit of a mystery as once she gets past 1000mtrs she seems to stop. She gets back but comes home well and I am giving her the chance to run this out on current form. No 2 Limerick Rose could sneak into multiples contention.
Race 7 – 1400mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 05.23pm
No 7 Munderoo goes alright on his home track and will be right there at the finish. No 1 Hunka Reigns drops in class but the 3kg claim a good help. He usually gets back but will charge home. No 3 Cristis Gold is another that gets too far back but can come home really well.

Wodonga Cup Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia
Race 1 – 1200mtrs 3yo Maiden Plate (set weights) – 12.20pm
A small field of 3 year olds here and nothing jumps out at you. Moody runner No 4 Dayita will be scratched as it won today at Cranbourne and looked good in doing so. No 5 Lillyofthevalley his other runner won’t start if the track is to wet I think. This horse has been disappointing to say the least. Her last two starts they have ridden her on the speed and led but I liked her debut run where she sat back and worked home well. I think if they get her to settle she may be better suited. Local trainer Brian Cox have to respect on his track and No 2 Eurongilly a decent run back from the spell. No 6 Mintenko another that has been disappointing to date. She is green and last start jumped poorly and over-raced and should get better with racing and time.
Race 2 – 1300mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 12.55pm
If No 3 Borsay starts here this is his chance for a kill. He was very bad tempered returning from the spell and was vetted at the start. He did a bit too much work early for me and looked like he needed the run. No 8 Full Hand forget last start as copped a big check at the start and never recovered. Over raced and sat wide and just forgive as on debut did find the line well. No 4 Esprit De Jouet seemed to run out of gas first up from the spell, looked good sitting up on the lead but tired and give a chance he has trained on.
Race 3 – 1590mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.30pm
This is a very average race indeed and the videos I watched of the horses I thought “might” go alright left me shaking my head on how bad they were. No 2 Christos Boy watching a couple of his races he has worked home alright in them and last start he raced too wide early on but to give him credit stuck on to the line. No 6 No Rhyme Or Reason on his 17th start might finally break through. No 1 Bellmorri made okay ground last start to the line.
Race 4 – 1590mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 02.05pm
No 9 Zappa Lightning is poor from the barriers and watching his last 6 races he goes alright and is going to be hard to beat even if he misses the kick here. No 3 Lord Lawrence is a lightly raced 4yo and both starts this preparation have been very good and last start win a good front running effort and was well supported in the markets. No 8 Munderoo home track and is racing well over this distance last two starts.
Race 5 – 1200mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 02.40pm
Another very hard race here and bet wisely if having a punt. No 5 La Deen forget last start not much luck in the run and better than that. She is light with the claim and goes alright at this track, can finish her races off well. No 9 No More Idols actually not a bad run last start as got caught wide and stayed there the whole way. Fought right to the line and not too far off the winner. No 2 Wingardium Leviosa has been freshened and a multiples chance. As is No 1 Thetoppie.
Race 6 – 1200mtrs 0 - 62 Handicap – 03.15pm
It doesn’t get any easier here and it is god to know that down the track there will be plenty of glue and paint brushes. No 4 Shivoo you go back to earlier this year where she ran some good races in city class. Just give her a chance as she did look better last start as was held up but also looked a little underdone a well. No 2 Bullioh ran a good race first time in blinkers last start, still laid in a little but give him a chance here. No 6 Vapourise after an ambitious attempt to start his career won his maiden last start and a decent win as he looked headed but fought back. No 3 Flame And Fury is hard to judge as a good debut win but second was poor.
Race 7 – 1590mtrs Handicap Wodonga Cup – 03.52pm
The prestigious Wodonga Cup and not a bad field. No 9 Murdoch’s Joy $6 I would love to see the cup go locally and he gets back to his home track where he is unbeaten and very good at the weights. No 2 Delayedreaction $5.50 have to respect him out in the country. Has been struggling in the city this preparation but here sure to give this a shake. No 4 Regular Aussie $8.50 last start forget. His form is better than that and should be around the finish. No 6 Cornish $8 has been very disappointing since coming to Australia but respect.
Race 8 – 1200mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 04.28pm
This is a better race than the cup. No 9 Lonhrielle first up from the spell must be respected and did look good in her trial run. No 7 Barbie’s Bombshell also first up from the spell and watching her last four starts she doesn’t look too bad a horse and maybe matured a little. No 5 Laudit may be no wins from two first up runs but forget that and she is a chance if you ask me. No 11 Stella Command is racing well.
Race 9 – 1400mtrs 0 – 68 Handicap – 05.08pm
No 7 Oneman Wolfpack if starts will give this a big shake and his return from the spell was impressive. Hope he starts. No 3 Better Be Sure two wins in a row back from the spell and again will more than likely lead and take some running down. No 15 Bringenbrong give a chance as last start not a lot of luck. Back to his home track and sure to give it a good show. No 6 Minnesota Hustle for multiples.

Wodonga Horse Racing Tips Tuesday 11th January 2011
Race 1 – 1100mtrs Maiden Plate – 01.00pm
This is a hard race with a few chances and what looks like plenty of donkeys. No 5 Powerhouse came back from the spell with a good run, looked a lot better returning and sure to have trained on. No 4 Lord Lawrence is first up from the spell, did trial well on the 4th of January. Has drawn badly in barrier 15 but will come in with scratching. No 7 Dooen another with a bad barrier but both runs this preparation have been good and must respect. No 11 Elakasam ran a nice trial on the 4th of January, is very light carrying only 51.5kgs so watch markets closely.
Race 2 – 1200mtrs 3yo 0 – 68 Handicap – 01.30pm
No 5 Indigo Dancer returns from a spell, won a trial on the 4th of January in good time. This horse ran 2nd to Sayahailmary making good ground on her late. Sayahailmary went on to run some promising races. No 1 Ferreus I have watched both his races a few times and he is a nice little horse. Last start was a very strong win and even with the extra weight should be able to repeat. No 7 A City Girl has been around the mark, last preparation ran some nice races. First up this preparation just never got going, looked a little underdone and I think will be more forward here. No 3 Everything’s Set has a good trial under his belt, first up here and on breeding should be looking for this distance or further. Look forward to seeing him race.
Race 3 – 2050mtrs Maiden Plate – 02.00pm
No 10 Kinnon has stepped up in distance each start this preparation. Has been around the mark and breeding should run this out. Last startled to the turn then run over but fought hard, if she can relax a little more and get a cart into the race a chance. No 7 Éclair Classic on breeding I like, last start ran a very good race fighting hard all the way. No 2 Chilled Red has two runs back this spell, last start was too wide the whole way and weakened in the straight, another if can relax and get cover a chance. No 4 Sunny is another horse that should like the distance, hasn’t been flash to date but last start did run a better race.
Race 4 – 1600mtrs Maiden Plate – 02.30pm
No 5 Mindovski out of a good stable and a good jockey on board, has been the bridesmaid 6 times, last start a solid run as he did a lot of work in the race and fought hard to the line. No 8 Blazing Lion was well beaten last start but did chase hard all the way to the line, Price a good trainer and watch markets. No 4 Like Nugget is a chance for the multiples, last start came home well from back of the field but never a threat. No 9 Currency Converter trained at the track by Cox, it could surprise and run in the places at nice odds.
Race 5 – 1600mtrs 0 – 68 Handicap – 03.00pm
No 3 Zoned In if starts will be coming home hard. last start just got too far back before working home nicely. No 5 Isabelle Lass another if start will be a chance. Her first run after coming down from Queensland was not good and forget. Her Queensland form was solid and sure Moroney will have her better here. No 1 Lethal Dealings Oliver and Rawiller combine to make a nice combination. Last start got held up and not clear till too late. Has two wins from two starts over 1600mtrs. No 4 Costa Mucho for the multiples.
Race 6 – 1200mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 03.30pm
No 10 Duplify will either run a blinding race or do nothing, a very hit and miss horse, last start win on Boxing Day here at Wodonga won leading all the way and in good time, drops a whopping 8.5kgs on that run with the claim only carrying 50kgs. No 6 Canny Groove if she is right will be hard to beat but watch markets for any moves. No 5 Show Bling fought hard for a win last start at Ballarat, has been around the mark most races. No 8 Supreme Commander first up run not so bad after running into Bushrod and have to respect this trainer. I am interested in seeing No 1 Bartholdi returned from a 634 day spell and did nothing special; has been around in the G2 Autumn Stakes and G1 Cadbury Guineas, was at long odds in these races and must watch markets here closely.
Race 7 – 2050mtrs 0 – 58 Handicap – 04.00pm
No 1 Hef is four runs back this preparation, this is an average race and a good chance. No 5 Diamondsarelucky is a distance horse; this is a good chance to break her 2000mtr duck. No 4 Ultimate Surprise is a chance in this average race, is 4 runs back this preparation and last start fought hard to run 2nd. Is not bred for this distance but could surprise. No 6 On Looks Alone for the multiples.
Race 8 – 1400mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 04.30pm
No 11 This Cat’s Magic another runner from Brian Cox, last start was a good win here at Wodonga. Found the line well and a chance to make it two in a row. No 2 John’s Gift watch markets closely, this is a nice horse won a trial back on November 17th and sure to have trained on and ready for this. No 7 Prussian Star worked home well first up from a 330 day spell, will want this distance or further. No 1 Dublebid forget first up run from the spell, is better than that and should be much improved.
