Flemington Horse Racing Tips Saturday 1st January 2011 Victoria Australia

I am a professional punter living outside Australia. I punt for a living and for years been helping my mates out with my tips. I have friends on the inside and a professional at reading form. I watch 100’s of videos each week to pick my winners.

I only bet on Victorian races. At times when Victorian horses are interstate I will offer tips at those meetings.

I have decided to share my tips, hopefully to help the normal punter win a few bucks on the weekend.

Remember, never bet more than you can afford to lose. If gambling is a problem contact professional help in your state, city or country. Victoria Horse Racing supports responsible gambling initiatives.

Good luck if having a punt and remember to gamble responsibly.

Flemington Horse Racing Tips Saturday 1st January 2011

A Happy New Year to all and I hope that I can steer a few winners our way on a hard day of racing at Flemington.

Race 1 – 1700mtrs Fillies and Mares 0 – 82 Handicap – 12.50pm

No 4 Fashion Black $2.60 I have backed in the early markets at $2.90, she is a frustrating horse as she is talented but has not been consistent to date. No 2 Maquina $6 is racing very well and just finished behind Fashion Black two starts back, this was a very good run as was wide a long way, and meets her 1kg better here as well. No 3 Booker Darri $7.50, Oliver has this horse going well but is stepping up in class, a good multiple chance. No 10 Airways $7 ran a good race against Fashion Black, did a lot of work in the race but tried hard all the way.

Race 2 – 1400mtrs 3 & 4yo 0 – 78 Handicap – 01.30pm

No 6 Good Value is a nice little horse, both his runs this preparation have been solid. Drops 3kgs in weight and also gets blinkers for the first time here. No 10 Mushatta won well on debut, is in a good stable and well bred and should be right in this. No 5 Cross Street has two good runs this preparation and will appreciate the extra distance. No 2 Cyclone Al is better than last start, have to respect and keep safe. Put No 1 Vesper into the multiples as well.

Race 3 – 1000mtrs 0 – 82 Handicap – 02.10pm

No 7 Briefed returned with a nice first up run, hasn’t got a great 2nd up record but willing to risk. Is light and just got too far back last start and should be closer to the speed here. No 8 Kariba Kariba goes well 2nd up, will be fitter and sure to run an honest race. No 3 Papercut is first up, goes well fresh and is nice at the weights. No 5 Royalaz comes down from Queensland, is a horse that can lead and run on the pace.

Race 4 – 1400mtrs Handicap – 02.50pm

No 10 Port Vell forget last start, he is better than that. I like that Little has put the blinkers on for the first time, will help this horse a lot I think. No 5 Bohika is backing up from Boxing Day if he starts, going well and respect. No 1 Danzylum with the 3kg claim carriers 56kgs and a big chance at this weight. No 11 Tan Tat Jet has two runs this preparation and will be much fitter here, was unlucky last start could have finished closer.

Race 5 – 2800mtrs Bagot Handicap LR $150,000 - 03.30pm

No 1 Macedonian is up in weight carrying the 59kgs, but is going well and last two start wins both solid. This horse gave Melbourne Cup winner American a good race in the Geelong Cup. Moody is the red hot trainer and sure to have this horse peaking. No 5 Sadler’s Story ran a very good race last start, was doing best too late and the extra 800mtrs will suit. No 10 Interlocking has been stepped up well this preparation, will be fit and sure to be in this a long way. No 2 Gotta Keep Cool comes across from Adelaide with two wins for the last two starts, should have won the race before this as well as was unlucky, keep safe.

Race 6 – 1200mtrs Standish Handicap Group 3 $200,000 – 04.10pm

No 7 Éclair Mystic came back with a solid win making it 5 wins from 6 starts, he will like the extra 200mtrs here and is going to be so hard to beat, was a little lame after last start win but obviously got over this. I have backed her at $5.50 in the early markets. No 1 Chasm hasn’t won since the 25th of April 2009, but is a smart horse that has been close in much harder races so respect. No 12 She’s Got Gears is back from a very long 315 day spell, watch markets as she has been up against some of Australia’s best horses and not disgraced. No 5 Miss Octopussy is backing up from the Christmas Stakes on Boxing Day, but sure to run a good race.

Race 7 – 2000mtrs Open Handicap – 04.50pm

No 5 Lucky Eighty Eight cannot fault his form and will carry the 56kgs, a chance for 4 wins in a row. No 7 Muir drops back in distance and will be better for this, has had a nice break and should be forward. No 1 MacKnuckle is very good over this distance, big weight but will be in this a long way. No 3 Orchestra Stalls meets Lucky Eighty Eight 4kgs better here, he ran a good 2nd to him and could turn this around here.

Race 8 – 1400mtrs Fillies and Mares 0 – 82 Handicap – 05.30pm

No 10 Winged Charm has two runs under her belt this preparation, first up blinkers run had a shocker and trainer said they didn’t suit so forget, last start was much better and could have finished closer as got going a little late. No 13 Sophie’s Spirit is running well, drops back in distance and weight and Boss on board will give every chance. No 7 Emily’s A Star is flying this preparation, 6 starts for 4 wins a 2nd and a 3rd. This is a class rise but must be a chance. No 4 Tahnee Topaz comes across from Adelaide and is racing well and a chance for the multiples.
