Geelong Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia

Not a great day the last couple but that is racing. My bets yesterday in race 4 No 7 Wrong Way (started way too short) and race 6 No 3 Lady Of The Lamp both disappointed but we will fight back here. So $800 invested for a $260 profit to date.

Today I am splitting the $100 with $50 the win going onto Race 5 No 2 Hamel and Race 6 No 5 Al Jandar.

Race 1 – 1200mtrs 3yo Fillies Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.00pm

Keep an eye on the markets here. Of the raced the lot the best for me is No 12 Rustana back from a 2 month break not a bad run but looked to need it. Her first three runs all had merit. No 5 De Kaap Valley looked better first up from the spell. Didn’t jump that well but worked home well. Of the unraced lot No 1 Apple Martini was formerly in the Moody camp but never started. Well bred and she looked nice in her trial. No 10 Notice Received is another to keep a close eye on for me.

Race 2 – 1500mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.35pm

If No 11 Amalie
starts here it should be a kill against this field. Her debut run she was very green and will be much better for it. No 1 Higuain won’t make it easy and both runs back this preparation have been very good. No 8 All The While is one to give a chance card to on his run a couple back. No 4 Cash For Matt is a horse that had a lot of promise and ran some good races in listed and group company as a 2yo. His run back from the spell led at a fair crack and weakened and one that will have improved for the run.

Race 3 – 1200mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 02.10pm

No 10 Dany The Fox
if starts here respect. Was well supported at Flemington before being spelled but over-raced after coping a bump and weakened. Give a chance. No 8 Commanding Ruler I look forward to seeing again if he starts here. He was green and immature that first preparation and hope the break in the paddock has helped as he looked a nice horse. No 6 The Norman surprised a little on debut with a good run and if trained on not without a chance. No 7 Bomber from the Hawkes stable just keep an eye on markets.

Race 4 – 1100mtrs Class 1 Handicap – 02.45pm

This is a nice little race. No 9 Glows on debut drifted from $4 - $20 and ran a good second. Next backed from $3.10 - $1.90 favourite and saluted easily. Returns here from the spell and looks hard to beat. No 3 Your Excellency have to respect on debut win and last start led them up at a fast pace. I think if they try and cross and lead no chance but if can settle the horse outside maybe a chance. No 2 Street Crier a good win back from the spell and gets a 3kg claim and this will help. No 10 Honey Be Faithful a good win back from the spell finding the line strongly. No 4 See You On Sunday a good font running win in the small field on debut.

Race 5 – 1700mtrs 0 - 68 Handicap – 03.20pm

This is a nice race here. No 2 Hamel has been freshened and has looked much better this preparation. Back in class so up in weight but racing well. No 3 Hot Power is suited around the mile and last start a good win coming from the rails midfield to 6 wide on the bend stretching out well the last 100mtrs. No 7 Big Luka a strong debut win hitting the line well. Keep No 6 Whiskey Four and No 8 Johnny Goodyear safe in multiples.

Race 6 – 1200mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 04.00pm

No 5 Al Jandar
I am sure we will see a better horse here if starts and looked to need that first up run from the spell. No 6 Muchos Respectos has been freshened and was racing very well. Even his last start was a big run as he did a heap of work being caught wide with no cover and coming 6 or so wide in the straight and still made ground on the leaders. No 1 Adam’s Bell will need to sit and get a cart here with this weight but can finish his races off well. No 9 Ebony Rock a good run back from the spell and didn’t have a lot of luck as got back and ran into a wall of horses and no clear run until 150mtrs out.

Race 7 – 1400mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 04.00pm

No 4 Ra Ikane if starts must respect but I am frustrated as this horse leads at a good click but sets up the race for the others just off the speed. Last start I hoped they might have tried to ride him a little more quietly but he went out to a 5 length lead halfway and was 2 lengths on the bend but got grabbed on the line again. If he does this again he cannot win here as there are some others that will run him down. No 10 Try Pickle is one of them for me. He will appreciate the run back from the spell and more metres and was only warming up late. No 14 Beseech from this barrier is going to push up and lead or trail Ra Ikane and should improve for the run as well. No 6 Con Thrust keep safe in multiples.

Race 8 – 1200mtrs 3yo & up Fillies & Mares 0 – 62 Handicap – 05.20pm

No 5 Cloanthy
just have to respect and she does look a nice horse and punters have put plenty on her over her short career to date. Hope she matured a little more in the paddock and takes that next step forward. No 9 Cardiac Moon a good front running win on debut and although time is nothing flash did it easily. No 14 Lillyofthevalley drops well back in class from last start and the claim a good help and stuck on well to the line last start. No 12 Godliness forget last start and respect from first couple of runs which were very good.

Wangaratta Horse Racing Tips Tuesday 3rd January 2012 Victoria Australia

Wangaratta Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia

My bet race 7 No 11 Diamond Diggler for the win at $3.00 never in the hunt and very disappointing but he was never wanted in the markets and I wanted to jump off but too late as I had posted my tip. It is important to watch markets. When my second choice Flyingconi was backed in late I was worried. But never mind. So now we have invested $700 for a clear profit of $360 after 7 days.

Today I am splitting the $100 with $50 the win going onto race 4 No 7 Wrong Way and race 6 No 3 Lady Of The Lamp.

Race 1 – 1170mtrs 3yo & up Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate (set weights) – 11.00am

This is a very hard maiden as there are many horses that what I would say underperformed first up and should improve. Keep a close eye on markets or hands in your pockets. No 13 Ready On Time returns from her spell and will be better schooled. Has drawn wide but did find the line well last preparation. No 6 Now You’re Flying wasn’t suited on the heavy track last start but debut run was good. No 7 Penny Precious disappointing on debut but well supported. No 1 Bent Chicago is one that you just need to give a chance card to.

Race 2 – 1170mtrs 3yo & up Colts, Gledings & Horses Maiden Plate (set weights) – 11.30am

Another poor maiden here and a good one to sit out. No 12 Shenanigans has been very disappointing for the breeding and last preparation was terrible. First two debut runs were not so bad and just have to respect and watch markets. No 13 Special Quality is a first starter and on breeding could give this a big shake. No 5 Shadow Tales forgive last start as the heavy did not suit but his other two starts have been good.

Race 3 – 1400mtrs 3yo Maiden Plate (set weights) – 12.00pm

Now this is a nice little maiden race. Unraced No 6 Yarrawa Boy is nicely bred and has two trials leading into this. Did look nice and keep an eye on markets. No 5 The Tyrant was backed in at odds last start but raced green and that cost him. Flattened out well too late. No 1 Aashiq is another that will benefit from the run back from the spell and also the extra distance and just need to give a chance to.

Race 4 – 1600mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 12.30pm

Another weak maiden here. No 7 Wrong Number this is his huge chance to break his duck. Meech could try and lead all the way but I would like to see him just off the pace. No 2 Belmorri drops back to the mile and last couple of runs not so bad. No 6 Hillbetheone for multiples but will be better over further as well. No 1 Beerhall Dancer two decent runs back from the spell so put into multiples.

Race 5 – 1600mtrs 0 - 68 Handicap – 01.00pm

Another race that I recommend keeping well away from. No 1 Rocket Rod is by far the best horse in this race for me. He will be better for his first up run from the spell and the 2kg claim a good help. If he has trained on he should canter this in. No 5 Deriems has no jockey nominated here but if starts need to respect and should be better than first up effort from the spell. No 4 Midnight Louie is another that should have benefitted from his run back from the spell.

Race 6 – 1300mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 01.35pm

I can see the race being set up for No 3 Lady Of The Lamp here. She will get back and come home very hard. I can see No 5 Penski Material and No 8 Lightly leading here at a fair crack and this will play into LOTL’s hands. No 1 Penguin Car gets the big weight but respect and last start backed from $41 - $16 but a poor run.

Race 7 – 1100mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 02.10pm

Usually I would like to see a horse have a run that has come down from Darwin way but the race isn’t so strong and No 4 Brel returns from the spell and been in work a while and even though his trial run he was way off the winner just keep an eye on markets. No 5 Darbu was green back from the spell and will be better for the run and need to respect. No 1 Voodoo Prince has a big weight but respect. No 9 Pimento likes this track and not a bad run here last start.

Race 8 – 1400mtrs 0 – 58 Handicap – 02.45pm

No 3 Well Written
has two good runs under the belt coming into this. Has been freshened and he should be tip top here. No 1 Coongoola cannot fault last couple of starts and if brings that form will give this a shake. No 6 Princess Rage and No 11 Meteoric Miss ran Boxing Day and not too bad and should be better for the runs.

Flemington Horse Racing Tips Monday 2nd January 2012 Victoria Australia

Flemington Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia

My $100 in bets yesterday were $50 the win in Race 5 No 2 Glacier King (saluted at $5) and race 7 No 3 Selingkuh (never a chance). So now we have invested $600 for a clear profit of $460 after 6 days. Today’s $100 is going on race 8 No 11 Diamond Diggler for the win at $3.00.

Race 1 – 1000mtrs 0 – 82 Handicap – 11.50am

An open race to start the day for me. No 11 Star Of Giselle $3.80 is the standout for me. She really matured last preparation and even her run in the G3 Cockram Stakes was good as she was ready to be spelled. Returns here and very handy at the weights in open company. No 14 Ravenous Lass $8 is very light carrying 51kgs and is racing very well this preparation. Will lead and take a lot to run down at this weight. No 6 Rorke’s Drift $11 is another with a 3kg claim and all three runs this preparation have been very good. No 9 Strike The Tiger $5.50 this was a good run back from the spell as on the home bend got taken out and had to check badly off heels but really flattened out well the last 100mtrs.

Race 2 – 1800mtrs 3yo & up Fillies & Mares 0 – 82 Handicap – 12.25pm

This is a race in two and even though a 4.5kg turnaround since they last met I have to go with No 4 Power O’Raylee $2.20 as she has been winning well. Moody doesn’t engage an apprentice so confident she carry the weight to the line and that is enough for me. No 5 Chaparral Lass $4.20 both runs since coming across from NZ have been very good. It is the barrier again here as she will drift back and may need a little luck with clear running but for sure will come home strongly. No 7 Mythical $11 is another NZ horse and last couple of starts since stepping out to the mile and 9 furlongs looked a lot better. I am looking forward to seeing as she could be more than handy. No 2 Enchanting Waters $18 last couple of starts have been very good especially last start against in form Full Peal.

Race 3 – 1400mtrs 3yo & up Fillies & Mares 0 – 82 Handicap – 01.00pm

As I was doing the form for this race the other day I really struggled as this is so competitive and the markets showed this with $6 the field. I am going for value and backed No 3 Seduced $12 at better odds as she returned from a long spell and it wasn’t a bad run as she was slowly away and just ground it out. Weir backs her up quickly and I am sure she will have tightened up from the run. No 15 Terpsichore $6 the current favourite is also a good chance here. She drops weight with the class rise and an excellent run last start as she was over-racing early had to ease off heels but down the straight really wound up and stretched out really well. No 12 Creed $12 only carrying 51kgs with the claim. She is going to lead and will be fitter and last start if you watch the race she was under pressure a long way out but really dug deep right to the line. No 13 Louisville Dancer $8 she is still a better horse than what we have seen and if they can get her right she is a big threat for me.

Race 4 – 2800mtrs The Bagot Handicap (listed race) – 01.35pm

No 7 Supremacy $6
is another Kiwi horse that had his first start and a great ride by Froggy Newitt and he really found the line well and should run it right out on that run. No 6 Unchain My Heart $10 cannot fault form of late and she is at a very good weight for this race. No 2 Persian Star $4.60 with her stablemate nominated keeps her well down in the weights and she is bound to be better than her first few runs this preparation. No 12 Crafty Cruiser $18 comes in nice at the weights and has been racing well and a light weight chance for multiple players.

Race 5 – 1200mtrs Standish Handicap (group 3) – 02.10pm

I am going for a little bit of value here in No 12 Cascabel $10 as his last two starts have been very good. The worry is he is slow away from the barriers so will have horses in front of him but if he has some luck and a clear run a big chance for me. No 9 Stirling Grove $5 has been freshened and on his day a very handy horse. Another that gets back and will need a little luck with clear running but need to respect. No 1 Catapulted $5 is a class horse and can carry weight and must respect. No 6 Rocking Force $11 didn’t have his extra gear last start and didn’t come on like usual but respect and keep safe in multiples.

Race 6 – 1400mtrs Open Handicap – 02.45pm

An open race here for me. No 6 At The Heads $4.80 is my best pick by a whisker. O’Brien has been patient with him this preparation. Comes in good at the weights here for me and can really run a smart race and this preparation has looked good. No 10 Lethal Arrow $13 is more than likely going to lead with Population and Jungle Ruler (if starts). I don’t see a lot of other speed in the race and if can get a cheap run up front could take some running down. No 3 By The Way $6 a big surprise win last start and on that run need to respect. No 9 Volando $13 will be better for the run back from the spell and handy at this weight.

Race 7 – 1400mtrs 3 & 4yo 0 – 78 Handicap – 03.20pm

After doing the form I wasn’t surprised to see both my top choices that I have in front by a bit to be the favourites but they are they are only ones under $10 in the markets. No 11 Diamond Diggler $3 is short but I cannot see him getting out in the markets. But again this horse could have won all three starts as his only loss had no luck. Last start was impressive the way he won and going on that the extra metres will really suit. No 6 Flyingconi $5.50 the worry is the barrier as gets back and might get pocketed but is sure to be coming home well. No 1 Chasse $15 keep safe in multiples as can carry weight and first up run was good. No 3 Lonhreign $11 is another that is going to get back and come home late and might need some luck with clear running.
