Geelong Cup Day Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia Wednesday 21st October 2015

I am a professional punter living outside Australia. I punt for a living and for years been helping my mates out with my tips. I have friends on the inside and a professional at reading form.

I watch 100’s of videos each week to pick my winners. I only bet on Victorian races. At times when Victorian horses are interstate I will offer tips at those meetings. I have decided to share my tips, hopefully to help the normal punter win a few bucks on the weekend.

Remember, never bet more than you can afford to lose. If gambling is a problem contact professional help in your state, city or country. Victoria Horse Racing supports responsible gambling initiatives. Good luck if having a punt and remember to gamble responsibly.

Race 1: 1400mtrs 0 – 64Hcp – 12:30pm

No 15 Kryptonian resumed and was only average but more than prepared to forgive. Hope they ride him a little more forward from the good barrier. No 7 Schneller has been very consistent this preparation. Will be super fit here 5 runs in. No 8 Bare Knuckle mixes his form but can run a cheeky race. No 10 Lord Disick has drawn wide and will probably need this run but will be coming home hard.

 Race 2: 1200mtrs 0 – 70Hcp – 01:00pm

No 6 We’ve Got This just run out of puff first up. Sure to strip fitter here and a big chance. No 9 Concentrate not a bad first up run from the spell where being on the speed was favoured. No 13 Jacoman drawn wide but finds the line well and will be coming hard late. For multiple players must include No 7 La Venta, No 11 Bottle of Smoke and No 14 Zeusman.

 Race 3: 2400mtrs 0 – 78Hcp – 01:35pm

No 2 Annus Mirabilis from the Hickmott stable won well on the soft last start. Doesn’t jump well but from this barrier if can get a decent start very hard to beat. No 7 Huffanpuff having its first Australian start here. Hard to measure up NZ form so watch markets. No 9 Falanmonte drawn a little wide but good win last start, must respect. No 5 Zantenca a better effort last start and with Williams on top must consider.

 Race 4: 1700mtrs 0 – 70Hcp - 02:10pm

No 10 Triple Gold has drawn wide but will be fitter here 2nd up and was winding up late. No 7 Irksome can jump and be on the speed and I hope they do this here from the good barrier. Should get a good cart along if on the speed. No 4 Lucky Paddy drawn a terrible barrier but racing well and with some luck cannot dismiss. No 15 Finda Fitter Filly will need to jump better from the inside barrier, if she can she is a big threat.

 Race 5: 1200mtrs 0 – 84Hcp - 02:45pm

No 9 Act of Valour a solid first up run from the spell. Not a lot of speed in the race for me so from the barrier should get into a position and big threat. No 3 Malaguerra two runs back from the spell for two wins, up in class but must respect. For multiple players must include No 4 Bel Rhythm, No 6 Profit Share and No 1 Kingdom of Dreams for first 4 players.

Race 6: 2200mtrs 3yo Open Hcp Geelong Classic (Listed Race)- 03:20pm

No 2 Jadeer drops back from a solid G1 race and from this barrier a big chance to dictate the race in front. No 11 Macarthur a big jump from a maiden race but shows some promise. No 7 Pay Up Bro has drawn terribly and will need luck but this distance looks to suit here. No 14 Battle Zone is another with a terrible barrier but much improved run last start and bred for this distance.

Race 7: 2400mtrs Open Hcp Geelong Cup Group 3 - 04:50pm

I am more than willing to risk the short priced favourite and look for some value. No 8 Orbec $ 11 should get the run of the race from the barrier and will take some running down. No 3 Bonfire $10 another that has drawn well and should get a perfect run in the race. No 16 De Little Engine $21 has drawn wide not an easy run last start and if can slot in midfield will be hitting line hard. No 1 Quest For Fame $4.80 the import’s for is solid so need to respect.

Race 8: 1200mtrs Open Hcp 3yo & up Fillies and Mares - 04:40pm

A very open field as the market suggest with $5.50 the field. No 12 Northroza $12 is wide but if jumps well not a lot of speed under her and she could slot into a nice position. No 6 Mossbeat $9 has been freshened and just cannot seem to get a win but from this barrier will get every chance. No 1 Ygritte $17 will need luck from the barrier but if can slot in will be a threat. No 2 Danestroem $6.50 hasn’t won for a while but from this barrier should get every chance here.

Race 9: 1500mtrs 0 - 78Hcp  - 05:20pm

This is a race in two for me. No 8 Show a Star $3.40 will speed across and lead this but I am backing  No 3 Belorum $4.40 is can slide across and get some cover will really storm home. It will take some chasing down Show A Star. For multiples No 9 Kincaple Chief $21, No 4 Lord Athenaem $13, No 6 Aurum Spirit $15 and No 5 Orient Line $9

Geelong Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia

Race 1 – 1100mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.00pm

A weak maiden and definitely one of the first starters should salute here. No 5 Pragmatist in his only trial a while back he looked an alright horse. Well bred and been away in the paddock again for a long time and markets will be a good guide. No 6 Rock Of Briars if starts another well bred horse that will be better over more distance but I also think a big chance here in this field.

Race 2 – 2200mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.35pm

I think a good handful of horses have a decent claim here. No 1 Dashdan is so close to breaking his duck and if starts here and huge chance. No 4 The Lodger last couple of runs have been good and been freshened and little here. No 6 Memphis Man will lead more than likely and give them something to chase down. No 8 Princess Amidala a good first up effort in Australia as was on the speed and a little wide all the way and sure to be better for the run.

Race 3 – 1200mtrs 3yo Fillies Maiden Plate (set weights) – 02.10pm

There are a few horses you just have to forgive and give chances to here. No 1 Amazonia she improved last start but was still green and over raced and still finished not too far off them. No 6 Fume Blanc from the Moody camp on debut not supported in markets and ran accordingly. Returns from the spell and sure to be better schooled. No 9 Smooth Return both runs to date very disappointing but breeding have to give another chance. No 7 Little Pin Up Girl returned from her spell with a much better run.

Race 4 – 1400mtrs 3yo & up Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate (set weights) – 02.45pm

No 10 Evolve
will be an interesting starts from the Hawkes camp. A well bred 700k purchase and even though she hasn’t done anything in her trials she looks alright in the running. Markets will be a good guide. No 9 Chateau Margaux is a well bred filly in the Moody camp. Her second up run was much improved before being spelled and really look forward to seeing her if she starts here. No 2 Captives looked to need that run back from the spell and sure to be a lot better for it. No 4 Freshwater Rose racing well and should be around the mark.

Race 5 – 1200mtrs Class 1 Handicap – 03.20pm

Another handy race here. No 7 Maker’s Marque is nominated in 6 races over the next week. If starts here she has clicked this preparation and a much different horse and a big chance on current form. No 1 Hinchley Wood came back from the spell and won well. Not a great time but did it easily after being wide all the way. No 4 Big Buddie an easy debut win even though it was a weak country maiden impressed.

Race 6 – 1700mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 04.00pm

I will be surprised if No 6 Chaparral Lass starts here and not on Saturday. If goes around here should win. No 1 Prizum nominated at Caulfield on Australia Day but if starts here and CL scratches hard to beat. No 5 Gaudalcanal a definite multiples chance for me.

Race 7 – 1400mtrs 3yo & up Fillies & Mares 0 – 68 Handicap – 04.40pm

No 11 Angelmouse
is one you have to just forgive and give a chance to. She is a nice horse that has been a little disappointing but if Moody has her right she should win this. No 6 Rhythmic Rossa has had a change of stables since her debut win. She did find the line well late and coming back from a long break markets will be a good guide. No 3 Loves Long Journey is another back from the spell and should be more than competitive.

Race 8 – 1400mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 05.20pm

No 4 Virenque
both runs this preparation have been solid. Last start really impressed me after getting away poorly, getting held up on the rails before off leaders heels to find the line to just get up. No 3 Tsar Of Russia was well supported first up from across the Tasman and hit line well on the wet track to win. No 14 Spelldancer back from the spell where her first few runs were promising.

Geelong Horse Racing Tips Wednesday 4th January 2012 Victoria Australia

Geelong Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia

Not a great day the last couple but that is racing. My bets yesterday in race 4 No 7 Wrong Way (started way too short) and race 6 No 3 Lady Of The Lamp both disappointed but we will fight back here. So $800 invested for a $260 profit to date.

Today I am splitting the $100 with $50 the win going onto Race 5 No 2 Hamel and Race 6 No 5 Al Jandar.

Race 1 – 1200mtrs 3yo Fillies Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.00pm

Keep an eye on the markets here. Of the raced the lot the best for me is No 12 Rustana back from a 2 month break not a bad run but looked to need it. Her first three runs all had merit. No 5 De Kaap Valley looked better first up from the spell. Didn’t jump that well but worked home well. Of the unraced lot No 1 Apple Martini was formerly in the Moody camp but never started. Well bred and she looked nice in her trial. No 10 Notice Received is another to keep a close eye on for me.

Race 2 – 1500mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.35pm

If No 11 Amalie
starts here it should be a kill against this field. Her debut run she was very green and will be much better for it. No 1 Higuain won’t make it easy and both runs back this preparation have been very good. No 8 All The While is one to give a chance card to on his run a couple back. No 4 Cash For Matt is a horse that had a lot of promise and ran some good races in listed and group company as a 2yo. His run back from the spell led at a fair crack and weakened and one that will have improved for the run.

Race 3 – 1200mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 02.10pm

No 10 Dany The Fox
if starts here respect. Was well supported at Flemington before being spelled but over-raced after coping a bump and weakened. Give a chance. No 8 Commanding Ruler I look forward to seeing again if he starts here. He was green and immature that first preparation and hope the break in the paddock has helped as he looked a nice horse. No 6 The Norman surprised a little on debut with a good run and if trained on not without a chance. No 7 Bomber from the Hawkes stable just keep an eye on markets.

Race 4 – 1100mtrs Class 1 Handicap – 02.45pm

This is a nice little race. No 9 Glows on debut drifted from $4 - $20 and ran a good second. Next backed from $3.10 - $1.90 favourite and saluted easily. Returns here from the spell and looks hard to beat. No 3 Your Excellency have to respect on debut win and last start led them up at a fast pace. I think if they try and cross and lead no chance but if can settle the horse outside maybe a chance. No 2 Street Crier a good win back from the spell and gets a 3kg claim and this will help. No 10 Honey Be Faithful a good win back from the spell finding the line strongly. No 4 See You On Sunday a good font running win in the small field on debut.

Race 5 – 1700mtrs 0 - 68 Handicap – 03.20pm

This is a nice race here. No 2 Hamel has been freshened and has looked much better this preparation. Back in class so up in weight but racing well. No 3 Hot Power is suited around the mile and last start a good win coming from the rails midfield to 6 wide on the bend stretching out well the last 100mtrs. No 7 Big Luka a strong debut win hitting the line well. Keep No 6 Whiskey Four and No 8 Johnny Goodyear safe in multiples.

Race 6 – 1200mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 04.00pm

No 5 Al Jandar
I am sure we will see a better horse here if starts and looked to need that first up run from the spell. No 6 Muchos Respectos has been freshened and was racing very well. Even his last start was a big run as he did a heap of work being caught wide with no cover and coming 6 or so wide in the straight and still made ground on the leaders. No 1 Adam’s Bell will need to sit and get a cart here with this weight but can finish his races off well. No 9 Ebony Rock a good run back from the spell and didn’t have a lot of luck as got back and ran into a wall of horses and no clear run until 150mtrs out.

Race 7 – 1400mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 04.00pm

No 4 Ra Ikane if starts must respect but I am frustrated as this horse leads at a good click but sets up the race for the others just off the speed. Last start I hoped they might have tried to ride him a little more quietly but he went out to a 5 length lead halfway and was 2 lengths on the bend but got grabbed on the line again. If he does this again he cannot win here as there are some others that will run him down. No 10 Try Pickle is one of them for me. He will appreciate the run back from the spell and more metres and was only warming up late. No 14 Beseech from this barrier is going to push up and lead or trail Ra Ikane and should improve for the run as well. No 6 Con Thrust keep safe in multiples.

Race 8 – 1200mtrs 3yo & up Fillies & Mares 0 – 62 Handicap – 05.20pm

No 5 Cloanthy
just have to respect and she does look a nice horse and punters have put plenty on her over her short career to date. Hope she matured a little more in the paddock and takes that next step forward. No 9 Cardiac Moon a good front running win on debut and although time is nothing flash did it easily. No 14 Lillyofthevalley drops well back in class from last start and the claim a good help and stuck on well to the line last start. No 12 Godliness forget last start and respect from first couple of runs which were very good.

Geelong Synthetic Horse Racing Tips Friday 2nd Spetember 2011 Victoria Australia

Geelong Synthetic Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia

Race 1 – 1000mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 12.37pm

A weak maiden to start and the best I can see is No 4 My Survivior a decent debut and there was no support drifting from $8 to $26 on the tote as all the money poured in for Your Grace. Got a little tired late and layed in. No 1 First Empire back on the better track after failing on the heavy, did win a trail on a good track.

Race 2 – 1100mtrs 3yo Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.12pm

No 7 Glows
a decent debut, no support in markets and sure to be better for the run. No 5 Chosen Girl looks well bred and should go well fresh. No 4 The Juddernaut if there is support in the markets go with it as well bred and like the look of this horse.

Race 3 – 2000mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 01.47pm

No 5 Malloy
not a lot of luck last start and didn’t finish to far off Dance With Her a few starts back. No 6 Mr Rocky a good win last start, drops 3kgs and another chance here. No 1 Mycolada has not put a foot wrong lately and respect for multiples.

Race 4 – 1300mtrs 3yo & up Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate (set weights) – 02.22pm

No 2 Cloanthy
big run last start, sat well back and wide first up. Charged home but found winner a little too good. Extra distance looks perfect and best chance for me. No 5 Forever Clever first up run since coming across from Perth was good and should be suited by more distance.

Race 5 – 1200mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 02.57pm

12 Tranquera
forgive first start as a very good run. Jumped terribly and was 4 lengths last, was well backed late and did find her feet late and started to work home well. No 8 Saint Lenny has excuses last two runs if you watch the videos, first race start was good and should be a threat. No 10 Kitty’s Joy first starter in good stable so watch markets.

Race 6 – 1300mtrs 0 - 68 Handicap – 03.35pm

Mark Kavanagh will win this race with one of his two charges for me. No 4 Glancing has looked very good this preparation and even though last start was in the girl’s class, she did win well. No 8 Chicanes a very good debut win, did it easily and still had plenty in the tank so extra metres should suit.

Race 7 – 1100mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 04.15pm

Don’t like this race much. The only horse I am interested in is No 2 Statler as have watched all three runs to date and a solid horse.

Race 8 – 1900mtrs 0 – 58 Handicap – 04.55pm

Horrible way to finish the meeting with this very weak race. No 4 Schabacle has been stepped up in distance well by Weir this preparation and Yendall will be sure to give every chance. No 2 Delegation should go alright back in this class.

Geelong Synthetic Horse Racing Tips Friday 19th August 2011 Victoria Australia

I am a professional punter living outside Australia. I punt for a living and for years been helping my mates out with my tips. I have friends on the inside and a professional at reading form.

Geelong Synthetic Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia

Racing on the Geelong Synthetic after the last two days have been cancelled. I have not had a bet this week. I have had two early market bets for Moonee Valley on Saturday. Be careful here at Geelong and keep an eye on markets closely.

Race 1 – 1900mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 12.22pm

No 7 I’ll Be Good
I like her last start, she only got going late and finished off well for me. The extra metres looks like it should suit, nicely bred and respect. No 2 King of Pop has had about month off since a good front running run last start. Shot to the lead about 600mtrs out and looked to pinch a winning break with maybe 5 lengths 200mtrs out, but nosed out on the line. No 11 Boredom looked better over the mile last start, maybe better suited over this distance. No 8 Miss Funny Money this horse has been its own worst enemy at times; I think she could win a race or two if she puts it all together.

Race 2 – 1000mtrs 4yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 12.57pm

I look forward to seeing No 11 Your Grace return here. I have watched her trial win and she looks a nice little horse. Has been wrapped been wrapped in cotton wool but I just hope she is right as she could go on to win the odd city race. No 8 Lumina has come across from Sydney in the powerful Snowden camp. I have watched some of her races and she isn’t so bad. Likes to run up on the pace and have to respect. No 4 Call The Law has not had a lot of luck in a few of his runs. I like Nikolic on top here as he will give her every chance. No 5 Coniston Melody I liked her return from a long spell. She only found her feet late but looked good last 100mtrs or so. An interesting first starter that will be better over the mile or further is No 6 Gigantamiss. From mother’s side could sprint well fresh.

Race 3 – 1100mtrs 3yo Maiden (set weights) – 01.32pm

This is a very hard race with some nice looking first starters and a few that went alright first up. No 7 Subtle Charm if starts here keep a close eye on markets, ran a nice trial behind Grand Britannia. No 6 Spirited Addition I have watched his debut run a few times and not too bad. No 4 Riccardo The Great will be better for his first preparation. No 3 Leica Jungle another first starter that is an interesting runner, dad a Japan Cup Winner and mum wasn’t bad over the scamper.

Race 4 – 1200mtrs 3yo & up Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate (set weights) – 02.07pm

No 2 Cloanthy
I have watched her only two runs a few times and she does have a nice action. I think she will give this a good shake. No 11 Merits Respect is a huge chance to break her duck here. No 3 Dilemmas keep an eye on markets and a hard one to judge.

Race 5 – 1200mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 02.42pm

I have no doubt this is a race in two and the markets suggest this. It is hard to bet against a Peter Moody runner but I am leaning towards No 2 Typeface $3.30. This horse has run some good races against some quality horses like Warm Love and Brazilian Pulse and not a bad first up effort. No 6 Pago Rock $2.40 a Perth horse that has gone into the Moody camp. Look Perth form was solid but I want to see first before putting any cash down. All I have heard is he looks a nice horse and has been going alright on the training track. For multiples No 7 Classic Cameo $9 and No 4 Golden Cameo $8.

Race 6 – 1000mtrs Class 1 Handicap – 03.17pm

This is a very open race. No 10 Zedi Power $4.20 is the favourite and last start win was good. A strong win and this is not a lot harder and was well supported late last start shortening from $13 into $9. No 2 Kya $5.50 returns from her spell and she is bred well and best to keep an eye on markets for support and where she is. No 6 Miss Noverre $11 another last start winner at this track, wasn’t as strong as my fist choice but still solid. No 3 Neona $9 if starts a chance for multiples.

Race 7 – 2200mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 03.55pm

No 8 Monalusive $5.50
is an Ex Victorian that went across the Tasman and has returned again and running well. Will get back but be doing best work late and I think the distance is going to suit on current form. No 2 Viper Room $4.20 maybe backed up a little too quickly last start. Had a two week break here and sure to be ready here again. No 6 The Wicked Walu $6.50 a good win last start and not a lot harder here.

Race 8 – 1300mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 04.35pm

A hard race to finish the day. No 2 Twitchintime is racing very well and the 2kg claim a big help. No 6 Train Crusher first up across from Perth and keep an eye close on the markets. No 4 Ladramahs and No 9 Iconic Princess for the multiples.

Geelong Synthetic Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia

Race 1 – 1000mtrs 2yo Fillies Maiden Plate (Set weights) – 12.00pm

The young 2yo girls go around here. I look forward to seeing No 7 Pimento return from her spell as she did lead Sepoy a long way her first race run and only finished 1.6 lengths away. She did look nice and should be better for her first preparation. First starter No 6 Pass The Baton was a $200,000 purchase and is well bred, should sprint well fresh so watch markets closely. No 5 Miss Mazzeo is another first starter that is bred well, should also sprint well on breeding. No 3 Joyeux forget her last start, she is better than that run and was just a little outclassed, she did run some nice races her first preparation. No 8 Unruly Princess from the Kent stable, watch markets and respect the stable if any money moves. No 2 Grassy the other first starter I will be watching when steps up further in distance, over at least 1200 to 1400mtrs.

Race 2 – 1900mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (Set weights) – 12.35pm

No 1 Arms Deal
will kill this, as simple as that. My bookie offered me stupidly short odds here so will have to wait for markets to open but I expect him to be short. No 7 Lady of the Garter last start forgive as got herself cast in the gates last start and never got going in the race. For multiples No 8 Sweet Disposition (nom Sat). I will be having an exacta with the 1 into the 7.

Race 3 – 1000mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) Handicap – 01.10pm

No 5 Harland (nom Fri)
a good chance here to break through for a win. Ran on the pace a long way first up before being run over. Was a little green looking at the video first up so should be fitter here. No 7 Rattle My Cage (nom Fri, Sat) lead till about 75mtrs out last start, on that run should be around the finish. No 4 Guru Bay (nom Fri) I like the breeding but he could want a little further but watch markets.

Race 4 – 1300mtrs 3yo & up Fillies & Mares 0 – 82 Handicap – 01.45pm

No 1 Reverberates (nom Sat)
drops back in class here, needed that first up run for sure and should be better here. No 6 Halo Miss Maher (nom Sat) will settle back I would say and can finish her races off well. No 9 Holy Brom should have three wins in a row to her name. She does look a nice horse but this is a harder race but is nice at this weight. No 8 Tottenham Girl I don’t think will start here but if she does respect.

Race 5 – 1200mtrs Class 1 Handicap – 02.20pm

No 2 White Universe (nom Fri)
returns from a spell and I look forward to seeing him return here, I am sure Moody will have him ready to go. No 4 Sidecar (nom Fri) is another Moody runner, also returns from the spell and if starts another to keep safe. No 9 Sidecar has been in work a while and is first up here and should be forward. No 5 Zachary Quack (nom Fri) a good win first up from the spell.

Race 6 – 1300mtrs 3yo Fillies 0 – 72 Handicap – 02.55pm

No 4 Elsewhere
returned with a nice run back from the spell, will have trained on and want this or further for sure. No 9 Tuscaloosa (nom Fri, Sat) an impressive win back from the spell, was well supported in the markets. No 7 Attivita (nom Fri) returned from the spell with a run to forget, didn’t handle the conditions looking at the tape and also lost a plate. I liked her Caulfield start last preparation, a good run. No 2 Ohmygod is racing well and will probably set the speed here, if can get an easy pace could be hard to run down.

Race 7 – 2000mtrs 0 – 68 Handicap – 03.30pm

No 5 Institute (nom Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon) as always with Hickmott’s horses it is nominated many times over the coming days, if starts the one to beat for sure going on first start win. No 7 Prinsen (nom Fri) has stepped up well in distance each start this preparation, the weight drop with the class rise will help. No 1 Savaging I expect a much better horse here. No 4 Hennessy Rhythm (nom Fri) goes well on the synthetic .

Race 8 - 1100mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 04.10pm

No 2 Cavendish
has caught my eye with his last start run, was really hammering late and if runs like this again hard to beat. No 10 Bel Rhythm (nom Fri) has been freshened and really likes this track. No 11 Act Of Faith (nom Fri, Sat, Sun) would not surprise me to see her run a much better race. No 13 Smoking Aces (nom Sun) is an emergency but if starts have to respect.

Geelong Synthetic Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia

To be truthful this is a very average day of racing with many weak races. Be smart and keep your bets small and save your money for Saturday.

Race 1 – 1000mtrs Maiden Plate (set weights) – 12.40pm

This is a very average race indeed. These are glue pots on legs. The one the stands out a little is No 5 Spirit of Pompeii who has a chance to break his duck after 16 starts.

Race 2 – 1200mtrs 3yo Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.15pm

No 5 Lightenuff
will be better of the synthetic. No 2 Calculator just faded too late last start, better here and fitter for sure. No 3 Handsome Hero returns from his first spell, has a trial under the belt. No 8 Cinnamona is better than last start.

Race 3 – 2000mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.50pm

No 4 Cottonwood (nom Wed, Thur)
if starts respect, a good stable and well bred and blinkers first time here. No 3 The Zero (nom Thur) stepped up well in distance this preparation. No 9 Diety Dane for multiples.

Race 4 – 1300mtrs Maiden Plate (set weights) Handicap – 02.20pm

No 5 Eager Miss
needed that first up run and sure to be better here. No 9 Sugar Lips a good first up run from the spell and should have trained on. No 1 Belcanny very green on debut and give a chance. No 11 Insurpassable another that is learning but give a chance.

Race 5 – 1100mtrs 0 – 58 Handicap - 03.00pm

Another weak race and the best I can see is No 5 Glenariff who is racing well. No 6 Glowing Edge (nom Sat, Tues) racing well and the claim helps a lot. No 2 The Majority for multiples.

Race 6 – 1000mtrs 0 – 68 Handicap – 03.37pm

No 7 De Lady Royale (nom Wed)
if starts will be hard to beat, ran some good races last preparation. No 8 Fine Feelings watch markets and any moves get on board. No 2 Blooded the big class drop will help here. No 4 Dimi The Dancer (nom Wed) for multiples.

Race 7 – 2000mtrs 0 – 68 Handicap – 04.17pm

No 9 Mauritius
have to respect as a consistent horse. No 10 Wantonly a good win at the track and distance last start. No 2 Gaudalcanal will be better on top of the track. No 1 Whitebait for multiples.

Race 8 – 1300mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 04.57pm

This is the best race of the day for me. No 2 Statler two good runs to date. No 10 Parma (nom Tue, Thur) if starts a chance on last start where worked home very well for good win. No 4 Bel Rhythm (nom Wed, Thur) is better than lat start. No 9 Ohmygod will be better for her first up run. Any scratchings put in No 3 Sundown Clown.

Geelong Synthetic Horse Racing Tips Friday 8th April 2011 Victoria Australia

Geelong Synthetic Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia

Race 1 – 1100mtrs 2yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 12.50pm

Of the raced lot watch markets on No 8 Crackalackin a decent first up run from the spell and will be better suited on a better track I think. No 1 Hellion has been around the mark most starts and first up from spell an okay run, 2kg claim a help. First starters No 4 Whiskey Hunter on breeding could sprint well fresh. No 2 Strategic Spell is coming back from a long spell. This horse has had no luck three runs to date, first two starts did things wrong and then third start bled. A good stable and any moves respect.

Race 2 – 2200mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.25pm

No 11 Xaar Best
returned from a long 650 day spell, has two very good runs and foot is on the till. No 10 Happy Now is going alright, Froggy Newitt on board a good choice for me. No 12 Imogen Miss led for a long time last start, run over about the 150mtr mark but fought hard to the line. No 4 Achilles Heel was $100K purchase for the Hawkes boys and has been disappointing but well bred and could turn things around.

Race 3 – 1000mtrs 3yo Fillies Maiden Plate (set weights) – 02.00pm

A tricky race here, No 3 Dashing Miss not a bad first up run, weakened and maybe a little underdone on the day, give a chance for sure. No 13 Lagello (nom Sun) first up from the spell posted wide and no cover, weakened in the straight so give a chance. No 5 Little Miss Moolah watch markets as breeding is okay. No 12 Vietnam Lass watch markets as Smerdon a handy trainer, a good horseman.

Race 4 – 1300mtrs 2yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 02.35pm

An interesting race here for me. No 5 Saneyev was a $200K purchase, first two race runs were good, I really likes the Ballarat run. Then went into the Listed Westfield Stakes, wasn’t disgraced and this a lot easier. A clocker told me he is running good sectionals, so watch markets for support. No 3 At The Till back from a long spell, watch markets. No 7 Teak (nom Tues, Wed, Thur) from the Hickmott and Williams team, if starts respect and watch markets. No 4 Cheville is another back from a long spell, bred well and good stable so watch for support.

Race 5 – 1000mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap - 03.10pm

This is a hard race, nothing really stands out for me. No 4 West of Greta a big run last start, took the lead around midrace, was a good click and then kicked a few lengths clear before being challenged but fought hard right to the line. No 1 Ribati is first up from the spell, goes well fresh but the 59kgs a big task. No 3 Desert Flare is better than first up run, give a chance.

Race 6 – 2200mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 03.47pm

No 3 The Catarena
forget last start, is much better than that. He will be using this for fitness with the Warrnambool carnival coming up but a good horse over the flat and this isn’t so strong. No 7 Mauritius has hardly put a foot wrong in easier class of late, respect. No 5 Royal Dalton (nom Wed) last two starts over the 2000mtr mark have been good. Good trainer so watch markets. No 4 Hachiman rises in class but the weight drop and claim a big bonus. Racing well around the distance.

Race 7 – 1100mtrs 0 – 58 Handicap – 04.27pm

An average race to say the least. No 5 Glowing Edge finds the line well, just gets too far back in her runs. Sure to charge home and this is not a strong race. No 2 Sundown Clown (nom Tues) forget first up run, than last start laid in down the straight, give a chance.

Race 8 – 1300mtrs 0 – 68 Handicap – 05.07pm

This is a hard race to finish. If No 11 Agent (nom Tues, Wed, Thur) starts sure to be the one to beat after his strong race win debut. No 12 Bedouin Express going on last start with the weight drop should be around the mark. No 6 Affluence returns from Sydney and is better than his first two runs, give a chance and watch markets. No 8 Nosealot (nom Tues) has drawn wide but if starts respect. Watch markets on No 9 Pitt Street.

Good luck if having a punt and remember to gamble responsibly.

Geelong Horse Racing Tips Tuesday 25th January 2011

Race 1 – 1112mtrs Maiden Plate – 01.00pm

Only 6 starters at the moment with the scratching, looking at the first starters No 4 Jake Boy out of Face Value who was a nice sprinter, Face Value won his first three race starts and went on to run very good races in Group 1 – 3 races. No 3 Del Porto is out of Stratum and he was a good sprinter winning the Pago Pago and Golden Slipper. No 5 Coeur Du Cheval is out of Show a Heart and we know how good this horse was but will probably be doing best work too late and want more distance. No 6 Daughter of Fortune returns from her spell, her first preparation she went around in much harder races and will be better for that racing.

Race 2 – 1212mtrs 3yo Maiden Plate – 01.30pm

No 1 Crystal Downs the first starter is nominated for the Australian Guineas on March 5th at Flemington, out of Stravinsky so watch markets closely. No 4 One of the Boys is a first starter for Mark Kavanagh out of Canny Lad and wasn’t he a horse and a half. Should be good first up for sure. No 11 Trista Rossa won a barrier trial nicely on the 10th of January, she will be better for her first preparation. No 6 Democrat returns from the spell, will be a better horse for sure, is well bred and a good stable.

Race 3 – 1312mtrs Maiden Plate – 02.00pm

No 5 Heritage returned from the spell looking much better, posted 3 wide in this race with no cover and weakened late, will be fitter and a big chance here. He is nominated for the Australian Guineas. No 4 Caulfield ran a good race first up at Geelong considering, he wasn’t away well, over raced, ran into a narrow gap and then had to go around heels finding the line. No 3 Hausratte should be better than his first start, I think will be much improved here. No 9 Coral Reef ran a nice first up race, on breeding should want further but will be a chance at the places.

Race 4 – 1512mtrs Maiden Plate – 02.30pm

No 4 Kerford from Robert Hickmott and casino man Williams. Having his first start (maybe as nominated 4 times this week), must watch markets as out of Galileo and this distance and further is what he should want. No 7 Clemente ran a good first up run, was unlucky in this race as hampered at the start, couldn’t get a clear run in the straight. Looked very green in his run and will be much better for this run. No 6 Zip Ole has been let up for 61 days, ran some nice races here and there and the freshen up could be just the thing. No 12 Prince Paragon first up run was okay but when vetted was slow recovering, came from well back on the turn making nice ground.

Race 5 – 1212mtrs Class 1 Handicap – 03.00pm

No 5 Enjin Number Nine if he starts here (nominated Friday MV night 80K race and also Australian Guineas) looks the horse to beat for me, won on debut at Bendigo in an easy maiden before taking on Flokkati and Marmaa who are both shaping as nice horses now. In this race he did so much wrong, reared in the barrier and got his near foreleg over the partition, was vetted and passed fit to run. Jumped away badly shifting in and making big contact, then had to check early in the running when tightened. Came home well but laid in down the straight. I will hit big if he starts here. No 2 Loudest from the Snowden camp, a Lohnro gelding that came back from a long 546 day spell and has had three good runs. No 10 Zaeem he hasn’t done anything special to date but his first up run from the spell was nice; he looked much better and showed some of his breeding from Magic Albert hitting the line hard late. No 1 State Grade watching his last 4 starts he finds the line very well. Is first up here and sure to be ready for this and a big threat.

Race 6 – 2418mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 03.30pm

This is a very average race being nice, No 2 Hurricane Trader has been freshened a little. Last start was held up a long way in the straight and only clear too late making ground to the line. Looks like the extra metres will suit. No 13 Milenka I have watched some of her races and not so bad, is a big chance in this weak race. No 7 Marker I think will be an improver here, has run well at Geelong and last start was a hard run but fought hard. No 1 General Iglesia is better than last start, this will be a big test but a chance for the places.

Race 7 – 1715mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 04.00pm

Again this is an average race for me, I like the best No 2 Peace An Quiet, he won last start in an easy race and did it hard as was held up before finding the line well. No 3 Spellberg, his first up run from the spell was nothing special and he usually takes a few runs to get going but this is weak and a chance. No 8 Royal Inquest caught my eye with his last run, was making nice ground late. No 5 Twiginthedesert has been around the mark of late and the opposition here a bit easier.

Race 8 – 1412mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 04.30pm

No 3 Shrapnel Gully has two runs under his belt and last start led a long way before being over run late. No 4 Flash O’Brilliance ran a good first up run at Seymour, was working home well late. A big chance for win number two here. No 10 Oforawsome (nominated Thursday, Friday) came across from NZ and his first run here was just outclassed. I would respect in this stable and first up from the spell. No 2 Firejet first up from the spell was really hitting the line hard late.

Race 9 – 1412mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 05.00pm

No 9 Java Jack (nominated Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat) should have two wins from two starts to his name, his first race run was checked very badly but stormed home for a good second. Then won in a small 4 horse field at Cranbourne before being spelled for 170 days, sure to be ready if he starts here. No 6 Mojo Working has a bad barrier but I have watched a few of his races and he does find the line well, has been freshened and Arnold is a very good jockey. No 4 Nothing By Half made good ground returning from the spell, has run some good races on the synthetic here at Geelong just needs to do it on the turf. No 5 St James Lane is first up here, has a trial under the belt and will be better than that run for sure.

Geelong Synthetic Horse Racing Tips Thursday 13th January 2011 Victoria Australia

Geelong Synthetic (moved from Ballarat) Horse Racing Tips Thursday 13th January 2011

The meeting has been transferred from Ballarat to the Geelong synthetic track, could be a lot of scratching will have to wait and see. There is some horrible weather forecast for Victoria, 200mm of rain or more predicted is being said. So there might not be much racing if this does happen.

Race 1 – 2200mtrs Maiden Plate – 01.00pm

This is an average race being polite, No 9 Haumea on form should win this. No 2 Count La Za finally put his best foot forward last start, will need to find a few yards of pace though. No 4 Provoked have to give a chance as came back from a very long 511 day spell, this is his 5th run back. No 10 Africa should finally break his duck here and at least run a place.

Race 2 – 1200mtrs Maiden Plate – 01.35pm

No 7 Watasham is a great name for a racehorse but also his first up run was solid. Hope he comes down to Geelong as a big chance for a win. No 1 Billy of Chicago first up from the spell a nice run, was doing best work a little late and if a bit closer on the turn a chance. No 10 Esthermac I also liked her only race run, she fought hard and drops back to 1200mtrs, Dunn will give a good chance. No 8 Bee Ali is a bit of a mystery, should want this distance and further. Has not placed three times at this distance. Can run on well, last start was wide and did too much work.

Race 3 – 1000mtrs 3yo Fillies Maiden Plate – 02.10pm

There are a few first starters here and must watch markets closely as I like the breeding on a couple. No 5 Kya is first up from the spell, ran some nice races last preparation and will be better for her first few runs. No 6 Mega Miss led a long way last start before weakening, should be fitter and better for that run. No 4 Invincible Lady both 1000mtr runs this preparation have been good. First up was slowly away before working home well, last start was held up and never really got going. No 12 Sirrah is well bred and look forward to see run.

Race 4 – 1300mtrs 3yo Maiden Plate – 02.45pm

No 2 Fine Wine ran a good first up race, looked a little green or underdone first up and did make a little ground late. Sure to be better here. No 7 Skimalong was flying home late last start, just missed out and a big chance on that run here. No 5 Oratorium got held up a few time last start, never really clear and didn’t finish too far off the winner. No 1 Diary is going to have to find another gear here to win this but is a nice horse in a good stable.

Race 5 – 1300mtrs 0 – 72 handicap – 03.20pm

No 6 Cardiobeat gave his opposition a galloping lesson last start, drops weight with the class rise but if repeats will be hard to beat. No 8 Wine and Wickets is running well, last two starts found the line well with a good win at Bendigo last run. No 4 Monarchs forget last start is much better than that. Should be fitter and ready for a big run here. No 3 Electronic Cross tired late last start, should be better for that run.

Race 6 – 2200mtrs 0 – 68 Handicap – 03.55pm

No 8 Flying Hula from the Weir camp has three good runs this preparation, has stepped up well in distance each one and last start was hammering home late down the outside. No 2 Bold Dazzler last start he led to the 400mtr mark then faded, vet said he had a slow recovery rate, is a better horse than this run. No 7 Keep Cool is running very consistently, is bred to run this distance and should be a chance at the places. No 1 Asphalt Jungle is the top weight, he is running well back from the spell and will give his all.

Race 7 – 1200mtrs 0 – 68 Handicap – 04.35pm

No 2 Shanghai Express returned from a 582 day spell with a nice run, he lead most the way before running out of gas. Is going to be better for this run and the connections have nominated him for the $1 million Newmarket Handicap in March. No 9 Under The Eiffel is an interesting runner, returning after 387 days and his only two race runs were promising. He is sure to be bigger now and was scratched New Year’s Day, watch markets closely. No 3 Pity The Fool returned from a 606 day spell with two nice runs, last start won well at Ballarat and will like the extra distance. No 4 Morossa came from well back last start finding the line well, was supported late from $9.50 into $6.50 and the money was nearly right.

Race 8 – 1300mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 05.15pm

No 6 Java Jack is returning from a 158 day spell, was smart his first preparation though both runs were on heavy tracks and one only a field of 4 runners. This horse is nominated for the Australian Guineas in March. No 11 Mary Street forget last start, was away badly and then squeezed about the 1200mtr mark. The win at Mornington before this was a very good run five wide in the straight hitting the line hard. No 5 Pelikaan Straat firs Victorian run was okay, will be better for this and just got too far back in that race. No 2 Highly Regarded last two starts was caught wide with no cover, if he jumps well and gets a nice trail in the race will be running home late.

Geelong Horse Racing Tips Thursday 2nd December 2010 Victoria Australia

Geelong Horse Racing Tips Thursday 2nd December 2010 Victoria Australia

Good old Geelong, I do like this track and have spent many days there on the punt. Today I had my account suspended at one of Australia’s online bookmakers, they closed my account paying my balance in full of course, making money and not giving it back is not what this corporate bookie likes. Thankfully there are bookies like Eskander’s Betstar who has been very good for me for years.

Race 1 – 1330mtrs Maiden Plate – 01.00pm

No 1 Easy Rock Café I have watched a few of his earlier runs and he finds the line well. First up run was solid, hit line well after being held up. No 2 Hendry both runs this preparation have been good, will be fitter and sure to be right in this. No 10 I’ll Be Good first starter should go well first up, watch markets carefully. No 7 Special Credit is going to be better for both his starts, last start found the line well and fought very hard to just go down.

Race 2 – 1530mtrs Maiden Plate – 01.35pm

No 9 Bayley Bird has 9 starts for only 2 thirds, but I have watched a few of her races and she isn’t such a bad horse. Last start against Morley got too far back but found line well. No 6 Furtively has been supported well both starts this preparation and been solid runs. No 3 Ingleby is well bred, good stable and some good runs last preparation. No 5 Art’s A Fortune will be better for his first up run.

Race 3 – 1130mtrs Class 1 Handicap – 02.10pm

No 1 Chinese Logic won well on debut, was put away for 48 days and will be better for that race. It was a good win. No 6 Magstroem has trialed but forget that run as better than that and will have been a good hit out. I watched her Ballarat and Echuca runs and they weren’t too bad. No 2 Brewski won first up her first race run over 1100mtrs and her dad was a smart horse. No 5 Jindga I watched 4 of her last 5 races and she is a gutsy horse, will be forward first up for sure.

Race 4 – 1230mtrs 3yo Maiden Plate – 02.45pm

You have to watch the markets on the first starters, some very well bred horses in good stables. Of the raced lot No 1 Designer from brought across from Adelaide by Hayes and his first run in Victoria at Kilmore was very good.

Race 5 – 1530mtrs Fillies and Mares 0 – 62mtrs – 03.20

No 1 Cadenzia the Zabeel mare won well first up from the spell, fought hard when challenged and will be better for the run. No 4 Sumatran has stepped up well this preparation in distance, last start come from well back hitting the line hard to just miss out on the win. No 7 Zablonde is another Zabeel is going to be better for her first up run. No 5 Semira had a decent first preparation and is going to be much better first up here for that.

Race 6 – 1741mtrs Gold Cup Handicap – 03.57pm

No 9 Cheerful Jury is light here on the limit. Has some good runs under the belt against smart hoses and Boss on board a big bonus. No 5 Sylvan O’Reilly is sure to be around the mark, always a solid cup horse. No 3 Old Jock is first up but won a trial over 1400mtrs, is a good horse and sure to be right in this. No 2 Cat’s Fun came back from a long break and has 2 average runs, but is much better than this, much better.

Race 7 and 8 will be coming tomorrow. I have run out of time for now.

Good luck if having a punt and remember to gamble responsibly.

Geelong Cup Horse Racing Tips Wednesday 20th October 2010

Race 1 – 1403mtrs – 12.00pm – No 11 Kookaburras returned from his spell with a solid run, looked a much better horse than his first preparation. He did run in two hard races his first two runs as well, the Blue Sapphire and Doomben Slipper. Has had 12 days since that first run and will be much fitter for sure. No 7 Blonde Mafia is across from Sydney and owned by Nathan Tinkler was scratched on the 16th and is sure to give this a shake. No 10 Choose Greatness has a terrible barrier but I liked his last run when he opened up making good ground late. No 5 Sweeneys Lane will be much better for his first up run.

Race 2 - 1203mtrs – 12.30pm – No 5 Libby’s Daughter ran a hige race at Ballarat last start. If you watch the race, she is squeezed eased back last on the rails. Is 5 lengths off the leader at the 600mtrs then tacks onto the field 400mtrs out, fanned 4 wide, bumps with another horse and ran onto the back of another before finally switching 7 wide about 150mtrs out and motoring home, a good thing beaten. No 3 President is also nominated Friday, this horse is well bred and personally I think he will come back a much better horse here. No 7 God Help Us won well on debut at Bendigo, really hit the line full of running. No 10 Anabaa’s Legacy won well second up leading and kicking away for a strong win.

Race 3 – 1705mtrs – 01.00pm – No 5 Napier (nominated Friday, Sunday, Monday) I have watched all his races and the win at Geelong in December 09 was good, is well bred and first start from the spell not so bad, just looked a little underdone and will be much better here for sure. No 2 I’m The Fiddle has two very good runs back from the spell and was making good ground last start. No 10 Magnetic East is only a maiden but last two runs with Oliver on board were good before being freshened. No 12 The Scumpa form before last start was terrible, did run well with no luck and could have won the race if clear in the straight.

Race 4 – 1403mtrs – 01.35pm – No 4 The Comedian (Nominated Friday, Sunday) looked good returning from the spell. Worked to the line well and will be much fitter here. No 8 Brampton has two strong runs this preparation, last start led before weakening 50mtrs from the line. Will be fitter and back to 1400mtrs. No 11 Cudgewa is a solid horse, ran a good race after 60 day let up, must respect. No 6 Ruse De Guerre comes back in distance and will be super fit here. No 2 Irel (nominated Friday and Sunday) is an interesting purchase for Crown Casino owner, Williams. On breeding will be a stayer but watch markets carefully.

Race 5 – 2406mtrs – 02.10pm – No 4 Tanby the Galileo horse has stepped up in distance well each time as you would expect. 3 wins in a row and could make it 4. No 6 Pasa Robles gets top international jockey on board Gerald Mosse, this horse will appreciate the extra metres. No 7 Sir Walter is racing well and sure to give this a shake with Zahara on board. No 11 Don Sebastian a very solid run last start, drops weight and will be a chance.

Race 6 – 2206mtrs – 02.45-m – Plenty of these horse are nominated for the 200K AAMI Vase on the 23rd and the 1.5M AAMI Derby on the 30th. No 3 Magnifique Soleil $3 has Oliver on board, one ride for a win and the horse is racing very well. No 6 Scotland The Brave $5 did win well last start but the time nothing special. No 4 Milestone $7.50 ran a gutsy race last start, will need Williams to ride him perfectly and if enough in the tank a chance. No 1 Karinata $7.50 is across from Sydney but may find this a little too far but racing well.

Race 7 – 1203mtrs – 03.20pm – I am going to risk the favourite in this race. No 5 Miss Inform $9 is a horse to like, is gutsy and fights hard. She has 3 wins and a second from 4 starts. Last start jumped away a little awkwardly, went to the lead on the turn 3 wide, was challenged late but fought hard. No 6 Redgum Prince $11 finds the line really well, two starts back from the spell have been very good, back in distance here will suit. No 12 So Elusive $4.40 favourite from NZ, did win impressively on debut in Australia, is 2 from 2 over the 1200mtrs in NZ. No 8 Shadowfax $6.50 is another NZ horse, his first two Australian runs were good before being spelled so watch markets.

Race 8 – Geelong Cup 2406mtrs – 04.40pm – No 10 Mr Charlie $7.50 (Nominated Saturday) I think has an excellent chance, only three runs on Australian soil. Beat Fanjura over 1700mtrs, then 5th to Rainbow Styling over 2000mtrs, before going to Sydney being beaten by Herculian Prince over 2400mtrs. The last run was much better than it looks, did a lot wrong and finished closer than should have. I think a big chance. No 2 Drunken Sailor $6.50 (Nominated Saturday) needs to be respected, has excellent form from overseas and has trained well from all reports. No 9 Exceptionally $7.50 is a horse finding the line well late, Nikolic has a good horse under him and if he can be a little closer to the lead a chance. No 14 Gallant Lady $21 is way over if you ask me and a good each-way bet. Is a Galileo so the further the better, has come back looking very good from the spell. For multiples No 4 Once Were Wild $9.

Race 9 – 1503mtrs – 04.40pm – No 7 Garozzo $6 has come back well from the spell, two very solid runs and will be very fit here. No 8 Work The Room $5 has a bad barrier but a good jockey and excellent form since returning from the spell. No 12 St Ives $21 also drawn wide but ran and solid first up run, Zahara will give him every chance. No 17 Eight Pieces $9 is running very well and a chance light. For multiples go wide and include No 6 Cyclone Al $4.80 and No 13 Bon Marche $9.

Race 10 – 1203mtrs – 05.20pm – What a hard race and many chances. No 13 Mo Money $5.50 is a very solid horse and won well first up. No 6 Anteros $9.50 won well first up, was tightened for room but still too good. No 3 Coup Align $4.20 have to respect his record and watch markets carefully. No 7 Glaneuse $9.50 really finishes his races off well, if a clear run will be right there. An outsider No 2 Orbit Express $17 ran 2nd to Stanzout back in March over 1200mtrs in 1-9.15, so can run well fresh.

If you want to know what I am backing, leave a comment and your email. It won’t be published and I will send through my bets and also my best multiples for the day.

Geelong Horse Racing Tips Thursday 30th September 2010

Race 1 – No 5 Sparkling Stone ran a solid first up run at Geelong, got held up and momentum stopped before pushing into the clear, fought hard to just go down.

Race 3 – No 6 Chasse was scratched yesterday at Ballarat, last start was flying home after being dead last at the turn and wide, much better barrier and hard to beat. Also nominated Monday.

Race 4 – No 9 Miserey ran a very good race from a wide barrier last start, made good ground late and extra metres should suit. Also No 3 Stanhill fought really hard last start to just go down.

Race 5 – No 4 Rockabee Miss won well last start, was 3 wide most of the run and off the turn 4 wide before really knuckling down late and striding clear, nice win.

Race 6 – No 6 Niblick has two good races returning from the spell, a big 7 length win and then a really good close-up 4th, the horse worked up prior to the start. Is also nominated Sunday and Monday.

Race 7 – I really hard race as all the horses are just on the better side of donkeys. On breeding most are pushing this distance, but No 4 Cluziel with a good jockey and trainer and drops weight, breeding No 9 Kissy Lips out of Jeune

Geelong Synthetic Track 12th August 2010

Race 6 – No 1 Work the Room (Nominated Saturday 100K sprint, and also next Tuesday. Also nominated for the Cox Plate and Caulfield Cup) is a well bred and lightly raced 5yo. He only has 2 starts for two wins and has been kept in cotton wool. He looked smart when he came onto the scene in May 2009, with an impressive win at Ballarat, and then at Sandow. In August 09 was scratched from a trial, and the same again in September 09. 20 weeks later January 2010 trialed over 990mtrs and did poorly and again spelled for 28 weeks. If this horse is anywhere near right should account for these. No 3 Kaleske (nominated Caulfield and Melbourne Cup) returns from a spell. I expect this horse to be forward and does have plenty of speed. Will sure to be up the front at the turn and will have to be run down.

Race 7 – No 9 Reassemble (also nominated next Tuesday) is well bred out of the smart Reset. His run at Sandow was solid and really only found his feet the last 50mtrs. Last preparation. His Moonee Valley run last prep you can forget as he was terrible at the barrier, raced tight and was unbalanced. Finished a lot closer than he should have.

Race 8 - No 7 Onerahi Bay (also nominated Sunday) just hasn’t found his feet. His last 3 runs have all been solid and he did a fair bit wrong in the last two. I go back to his run in June 2009 where he ran second to Peace Treaty, who isn’t such a bad horse over 2000mtrs and 3rd in that race was Amimoweh who also isn’t no donkey. Peace Treaty has gone onto run a close second behind the very smart Apprehend. If he starts I think a big chance indeed.

Race 9 – No 2 Royal Mail will appreciate the synthetic track. I have watched all his runs and he looks a good horse that will win the odd race in the city. This looks easy and the trainer Weir is confident as he puts top jockey Williams on carrying 59kgs and not engaging an apprentice.

Geelong Horse Racing Tips, Wednesday 11th August 2010, Victoria Australia

Geelong Synthetic Track 11th August 2010

We are racing at Geelong on the synthetic as the wet weather has again made tracks too heavy. This track does give all runners a chance and lets see if I can point you in the right direction.

Race 1 – No 2 Diamondsondinside $3 was scratched last Saturday and is also nominated this Saturday as well. If this horse starts will be hard to hold out. Has improved with distance and will be very fit. No 1 Red Buttons $3.20 is also nominated this Saturday and will also give this a good shake if starts. Light weight chances No 7 Our Kobi Jack $8 and No 8 Devil’s Mountain $21.

Race 2 – No 3 Cougat King $3.40 is going great guns, is up to a handicap but still should account for these. No 4 Falken $6 is also racing well, also up in grade but this race not so strong. No 6 Seguro $3.40 ran a good race from a horrible barrier last start in tougher company. No 2 Packing Success $14 will be there at the end.

Race 3 – No 8 What a Beauty $4.40 from Darren Weir is an Octagonal filly that won well on debut 152 days ago. She won well and still had plenty in the tank when hitting the line. No 6 Follonica $9 first two race runs were good before being out of her depth in a Gr3 race. She wouldn’t settle in that race and I expect her to be better this preparation. No 3 Jugahlation $21 lead in a race with two promising horses Soul and Breitling before weakening. Last start she looked green but started working well late. No 1 Decided $9 is up in weight but did win nicely last start.

Race 4 – Nice race with some smart sprinters. No 1 Floramour $4 returns from her spell and goes well fresh. The 3kg claim by Noonan helps her a lot. No 4 Cat’s Pyjamas $2.20 undefeated in two starts returns from her spell. This is her hardest task to date but she looked smart winning at Caulfield. Come in at 51kgs with Egan’s claim. No 6 Ten To Midnight $10 forget her last start as she raced wide all the way and didn’t handle the very heavy track. No 3 Avelon Royale $5 didn’t have much luck last start but will find the top two too smart but a chance at a place.

Race 5 – No 9 Palatine $5 also nominated Saturday, the NZ horse had a very good first up run on Australian soil, was slow away, over raced, shifted out in the straight and brushed another horse and still finished 2nd. He was solid in betting. No 11 Charbet $ 3.50 is a big danger, raced a little keenly last start after settling forward, is a smart horse and light at 54kgs. No 1 Into the Sun $7 ran a good first up race this preparation, will be much fitter now and extra distance should suit. No 5 Side Splitter $8.50 is backing up from last week. Was well supported and backed from $10 into $8 late, led most of the way to be rundown late.

Race 6 – No 9 Assertive Albert $3.60 (also nominated Friday) demolished his opponents his first start. It was just a maiden at Sale but what a win. No 4 We’re Gonna Rock $2 won well on debut at Flemington and then put his wrong foot forward next time out. Back after 187 days and has big expectations as is nominated for the 2.5M Caulfield Cup and the 3M Cox Plate. So expectations of him running 2000mtrs and beyond. No 2 Mo Money $9 won well first up from a spell, and gave Doubtful Jack a heck of a race last preparation. No 7 Starry Eyed $12 goes well fresh and is light.

Race 7 – No 8 Music in the Park $3.30 (also nominated Saturday) has been up against some top horses, Jolie Brise, Irish Lights, Dubleanny and been around the mark. First up raced a little too close to the lead for me but is going to be a lot better for that run. No 11 Hostage to Fortune $ 4.80 is going to be much better for her first up run, is smarter than her form suggests. No 7 Hidden Charges $4.60 forget her last start, she was over racing and pulling hard, shifted ground and made contact, over raced a good 200mtrs. She is much better than this. No 10 Coeur D’Amour $5 last race was better than it reads, was off the bit most the race but stuck to her task well, very gutsy run and much better for it as well.

If you want to know what I am backing, leave a comment and your email. It won’t be published and I will send through my bets and also my best multiples for the day.

Quadrella numbers – 1,4 / 1,5, 7, 9, 11 / 2, 4, 7, 9 / 7, 8, 10, 11 at a cost of $160 a full unit.
