Flemington Melbourne Cup Horse Racing Tips Tuesday 1st November 2011 Victoria Australia

I am a professional punter living outside Australia. I punt for a living and for years been helping my mates out with my tips. I have friends on the inside and a professional at reading form.

I watch 100’s of videos each week to pick my winners. I only bet on Victorian races. At times when Victorian horses are interstate I will offer tips at those meetings. I have decided to share my tips, hopefully to help the normal punter win a few bucks on the weekend.

Remember, never bet more than you can afford to lose. If gambling is a problem contact professional help in your state, city or country. Victoria Horse Racing supports responsible gambling initiatives. Good luck if having a punt and remember to gamble responsibly.

Flemington Melbourne Cup Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia

Melbourne Cup Day is the one of the best fun days of the year, not so much as being at the track now as there are just too many people but with friends and family and a barbeque or even better to one of the many country meetings on across Australia. Remember that every trainer and owner wants to win a race Melbourne Cup Day and it is a hard day on the punt. Good luck and remember to bet wisely and enjoy the day.

Race 1 – 1000mtrs 2yo Fillies Plate (Listed Open SW) – 10.20am

We start with a hard race as there are plenty of first starters here. Watch markets as these will be a good guide. Of the unraced lot No 2 Applegate on breeding I would expect a front running horse with a good turn of foot. Did win her trial coming into this and I have watched this footage and she looks nice. No 5 Flirtatious I do like the breeding but I think will be better over more distance up to the mile mark. Will more than likely be back and doing best late on breeding. No 9 Maraatib I liked her trial against the handy Lamingtons and I think she will be more than forward. No 8 Languish won her trial easily and wasn’t over stretched and needs to be respected. No 1 Alezan Thunder won well on debut is Adelaide and looked to still have a but up her sleeve. One for your blackbook I think will be No 11 Rhandara as I really love her breeding but think her best will be around the 7 or 8 furlongs and cannot wait to see her here.

Race 2 – 1700mtrs 4yo & up Mares Handicap – 11.00am

Kiwi horse No 2 Smoulder $5 has two runs on Australian soil now and last start in the Seymour Cup found her feet. She really found the line well late and if carries that form through is with a good chance here. No 15 Tantrum $10 (nom Thur) another Kiwi horse with a good chance if you ask me. She has impressed me since she came over and her last few starts although in easier class has found the line well. She will be coming home hard late at this weight for sure. No 5 Foxstar $4.20 has drawn wide and this is a little worry but this horse usually gets back anyway and comes home over the top. As long as she gets some cover and doesn’t sit wide and do too much work a chance for sure. No 4 Royal Commands $11 this horse always needs a few runs under the belt and we will see a much better horse here. Multiple players go wide and include No 6 Influential Miss $11, No 9 Gail $17 and No 11 Cold Steel Rein $26.

Quinella – 2,5,15 Trifecta 2,5,15 / 2,4,5,15 / 2,4,5,6,9,11,15

Race 3 – 2800mtrs 0 – 95 Handicap – 11.45am

No 6 Adroitly $6
Sydney form has been good. Comes across for the carnival. Will be back midfield but I think will be set up well for the run home and a good chance. No 10 Western Symbol $6 an excellent run in the Bendigo Cup the other day and will be a threat on that run. No 12 Excluded $5.50 (nom Wed, Thur) has drawn off the track and not sure if he will start here. If he does need to respect as on breeding should run this out and last start after being caught wide early went to the tail of the field and found the line well late. No 16 Perfect Pecs $8.50 has been racing well in easier company but last start in the Geelong Cup put in a very good run. Multiples go wide with No 2 I’m Jake $15, No 8 Innocent Lady $21, No 7 Olympic Win $13 and No 11 Lopov $9.

Quinella – 6,10,12,16 Trifecta 6,10,12,16 / 6,10,12,16 / 2,6,7,8,10,11,12,16

Race 4 – 1400mtrs 4yo & up Mares Herald Sun Stakes (Group 3 Open SW) – 12.30pm

No 3 Little Surfer Girl $8 came across from Sydney and pulled up with a cardiac abnormality and has had a 1000mtr gallop and ECG since then and passed. She is a nice horse and must respect her. She is a little wide but hopefully Cassidy can slide her across for a good midfield position and she will do the rest as she usually finds the line well. No 14 Neriani $4.80 she is a classy horse and my only worry with her is if she is tardy from this barrier could end up boxed away. She usually races on the pace and is a big threat. Last start a huge run and being wide all the way. No 12 Pontiana $7 she looked a little green late first up from the spell and should have trained on here. She looks a handy horse and I expect a good race from her. No 2 Divorces $6 has drawn off the track but needs to be respected. She will get back but be flying home for sure. Multiples go wide and include No 8 Hinemoa $9.50, No 5 Gai’s Choice $18 (nom Wed), No 16 Tariana $17. Watch No 19 Saint Angers $26 (Nom race 10) if gets a start multiple chance.

Quinella – 2,8,12,14 Trifecta 2,8,12,14 / 2,8,9,12,14 / 2,5,8,9,12,14,16

Race 5 – 1000mtrs 3yo ST 1000 (Open SW) – 01.15pm

No 2 Karuta Queen $1.55
cannot see her being beaten as she is going great guns and this should be a walk in the park for her. No 5 African Pulse $3.50 returns from his first spell and he should be better here and filled out a little. Reports have been he looks good. No 3 Spirited Addition $13 Adelaide form can be hard to judge but is racing well and a place chance. No 7 Hollyweird $11 (nom Thur) is a nice horse but I think this is too short for her and she is better around the 1200mtrs mark. For first 4 players include No 6 Shanghai Bound $17 and No 4 The Counterfeiter $26 is better than last start.

Exacta 2 / 5 Trifecta 2 / 5 / 3,7 First 4 – 2 / 5 / 3,7 / 3,4,6,7

Race 6 – 1400mtrs 3yo Fillies Lexus Plate (Listed Open SW) – 02.00pm

This is going to be a tough race for me. I think there are plenty of genuine chances here. No 2 Combat Kitty $4.40 across to Victoria for the first time and I like what I have watched of this horse. She looks to have matured over the spell and she has found the line well and a good threat for me here. No 1 Disputes $6.50 even though she has only won 1 race you must respect her. She will be in a much better position from this barrier and last start was wide and raced outside the leaders early and this didn’t suit. No 8 Secret Liaison $7.50 has looked good this preparation and not without a chance. In the small field last start found the line well. No 5 The Fairy’s Kiss $3.40 (nom Thur) is a little short for me. I do think she is a big chance and will be a threat and if you watch her last start she was beaten by a very handy horse in the making. Will she runs this right out? Multiples include No 9 Princess Layla $6.50 (nom Thur).

Quinella 2R / 1,5,8 Trifecta 1,2,5,8 / 1,2,5,8 / 1,2,5,8,9

Race 7 – 3200mtrs Handicap The Melbourne Cup (Group 1) – 03.00pm

The Melbourne Cup is a good time for you and mates to pool money together for your multiples. It always pays to go wide in the multiples as often they will pay well.

I am going with a local over the favoured French gallopers. No 17 At First Sight $15 came back with a very good run in the Bendigo Cup after a few little set backs. He is only going to have tightened up since that run and at this weight sure to be charging home. The French galloper No 1 Americain $4.40 a solid run first up and did look good hitting the line. The barrier is a little worry but have to respect on that run. No 23 Niwot $12 is another excellent light weight chance. His Lexus win was good and this has been a great training feat from the Hawkes team. No 22 Tullamore $26 didn’t have to run on the weekend after qualifying and the rest is sure to have freshened. Meets Americain much better at the weights and don’t dismiss his chances. So I have gone against the trend of international horses and have my fingers crossed.

Quinella 1,17,22,23 Trifecta 1,17,22,23 / 1,2,3,10,17,22,23 / 1,2,3,8,9,10,17,22,23 costs $168 a full unit.

Race 8 – 1800mtrs Handicap JW Stakes (Listed) – 03.55pm

A very hard and open race here. No 12 Lone Command $5 (nom Wed) returns from Sydney and is in good form. I can see him getting a pretty good sit and cart in this race and a big chance to run over these down the straight. No 4 Lamasery $5, will he start? Scratched from the Bendigo Cup with a leg infection and will just have to wait and see. If starts a chance as has been in good form. No 1 Linton $7.50 is lightly raced and frustrating to try and follow. Hasn’t raced since pulling up lame after last start. He has talent for sure and cannot discount. No 6 Extra Zero $13 at these odds is an excellent each way chance. Multiple players include No 2 Red Collossus $7, No 16 Foxham $21 and No 11 Blackie $8.

Race 9 – 1200mtrs Handicap (Listed) – 04.35pm

A very hard and open race for me. No 4 Perturbo $11 (nom Thur) is looking great I have heard and goes well down the straight here. No 5 Facile Tigre $12 this Queensland horse has been excellent first two starts in Victoria. Cannot fault his form and it will be just how he handles the straight running. No 13 Utah Saints $15 is another with a chance at odds. He will lead this a long way I think and take running down. No 19 Screen $13 watching some of his runs if he is switched on he is a chance here. Also No 7 Shadowfax $8 and No 11 Parables $6 cannot be left out.

Race 10 – 1400mtrs 4yo & 5yo Handicap – 05.15pm

No 8 Studley Park $7
looks great I have heard and will be ready to give this a big shake. No 14 Too Deadly $6.50 both runs back from the spell has been a little unlucky and with Brown on top a good chance of a change of luck. No 15 Sussuro $11 (nom race 4) if starts here has run two good races back from a long spell and not without a chance. No 2 Under The Eiffel $5 returned from the spell and won well even with a riderless horse hampering him in the straight. It was an impressive win. Multiples go wide No 16 Saint Angers $17, No 5 Miss Chatter $21 and No 6 Bagman $4.60.

Melbourne Cup Horse Racing Tips Tuesday 2nd November 2010

Keep a close watch on track bias if the track stays heavy, the rail is out 3mtrs the entire circuit. You will need to go wide for multiples and in the cup pool money together with mates if need be to try and land a large trifecta or first 4, and also the quadrella which will all pay very well.

Race 1 – $100,000 AGL Solar Power Stakes (LISTED) 1000mtrs – 10.20am

The best to do here is watch the markets very closely, see where the money is going. On breeding for wet and sprint No 10 Haraka Sana $13 (barrier 16) both her mum and dad could sprint and handled the wet. No 14 Star of Coureuse $5.50 and No 2 Manor Lady $21 as well but watch markets.

Race 2 – $100,000 Schiavello Plate1700mtrs – 11.00am

No 13 Status Quo (barrier15) $8 is second up and will handle the track and the wet. Was doing best work late to the line last start and will be much fitter here. No 1 Belscenica $8 will handle the wet but weight and barrier against her. No 4 Royal Commands $12 won well last start and will have trained on. No 10 Ipioga $16 is also light and should handle the track, has had plenty of time to train on since his first up run and will be very fit. No 9 Tio Rossa $11 has the runs under her belt and working home well late last two starts. No 2 Vintedge $7.50 and No 8 Manilla Jewel $17 both handle the wet.

Race 3 – $100,000 The Lavazza Long Black 2800mtrs – 11.45am

No 15 Montahlia will enjoy the wet track and the distance and I think an excellent chance here. No 9 Muir has slowly built up the distance this preparation and last start was running well with not a lot of luck. No 7 I’m Imposing ran a very good first race in Australia for a nice win. No 5 Miles Above is running well and No 1 Kerdem for multiples.

Race 4 - $150,000 Herald Sun Stakes (LISTED) 1400mtrs – 12.30pm

No 15 Devils Arcade $4.40 comes across from Sydney in the Gai Waterhouse stable. Is out of Snowland who was smart and good on wet tracks and she did win at Warwick Farm 2 starts back on the heavy 8 over 1400mtrs. No 8 Flying Tessie $10 (no jockey nominated yet) returned with a solid run coming from last and got head to the side which didn’t help to just go down. No 5 Dollops $16 I expect to be much better here than first up, good stable and the trainer Oliver will sure to have her ready for this. No 2 Kryptelon $10 is racing well and first start in Victoria was solid.

Race 5 - $125,000 Schweppes Tonic 1000 1000m – 01.15pm

No 2 Stirling Grove $4.20 is out of Mossman and Kalamata, Kalamata was very handy on the wet and this horse has a very good turn of foot. No 3 Sleepers $6.50 has been solid over 1000mtrs and in the wet, he is out of Canny Lad who won the Golden Slipper on a heavy track. Sleepers should handle the wet and has good speed, last start was a good hard fought win. No 7 Stravinsky Code $12 will lead and could kick away with this is on pace bias. No 12 Spurcific $8 and No 4 Belfast Boy $13 for multiples as well.

Race 6 - $150,000 Lexus Hybrid Plate(LISTED) 1400m – 02.00pm

No 4 Life is a Cabernet $31 will be better for her last race and is sure to have trained on, her dad Barley a Moment was a very good wet tracker. No 3 Alotta Spur $5 all has 3 very solid runs back from the spell and one to just forget. Last two runs have been excellent after being freshened for 79 days. No 6 Palomores $3.50 (barrier 16) needs to be respected even though the horrible barrier, is a smart horse and with luck will give this a shake. No 9 Dance of the Ocean $7 really worked home well coming from the tail of the field.

Race 7 - $6,000,000 Emirates Melbourne Cup( GROUP 1) 3200m – 03.00pm

The race that stops the nation. It is hard to go past No 3 So You Think $3.50, drew a great barrier and the way he won the Mackinnon is impressive. They said he would sit off the pace and did and then just strode up to them and went to the line easily. The only worry will be horses going hard to try and get across to the rail but So You Think is a very good horse. No 8 Americain $12 the French invader won the Geelong Cup well and look at the form coming into this race is going very well and will be in the race a long way. No 12 Harris Tweed $21 the wetter the better for him. Has been rock solid back from the spell and is sure to be right in this if it stays wet. No 11 Descarado $13 from Waterhouse is out of High Chaparral (6 starts for 6 wins), ran a very solid race against So You Think in the Mackinnon to finish 2nd. No 24 Maluckyday $10 won impressively in the 2500mtr The Lexus G3, was impressive and will have to see how he handles the track but should be fine being a Zabeel. No 5 Illustrious Blue $41 is a solid stayer and has Boss on board.

At the moment I am looking at the trifecta around these numbers:

First – 3,8,11,12,24

Second – 3,5,8,11,12,24

Third - 3,4,5,7,8,11,12,15,24.
This would cost $175 a full unit.

Race 8 - $150,000 Bundaberg Distilling Company Stakes (LISTED) 1800mtrs – 03.50pm

No 6 Leica Larrikin $5.50 comes into this race with some hard runs under his belt, has done well against Kallogg, Doubtful Jack and Captain Sonador, will handle the wet and is 2 wins from 2 starts at 1800mtrs. No 10 Hidden Wonder $7.50 (ex Victorian horse) comes across from Sydney in very good form, handles the wet and is running very well. No 1 Our Lukas $7.50 has a big weight but can carry it and also likes the wet. For multiples No 3 Conquering $12, No 4 Fanjura $7.50 and No 2 Rock Kingdom $7.

Race 9 - $100,000 MSS Security Sprint 1200mtrs - 04.35pm

No 18 The Handsome One $5.90 is a Shamardal and handles the wet, won his trial on October 12th in good time and will be hard to beat. No 6 True Persuasion $4.90 is the favourite and last two starts against Hay List and Black Caviar Australia’s two best sprinters have both been solid. No 4 Coup Align $27.50 (barrier 18) the barrier isn’t good but this horse has speed and should handle the wet as his dad Align won both his starts on a heavy track. No 12 Trim $29 (barrier 17) also a bad barrier but running well and being out of Lonhro will handle the track. For multiples go wide with No 5 Latin News $39.10 and No 1 Royal Ida $38.

Race 10 - $100,000 Celebrating 50 Years Handicap 1400mtrs – 05.15pm

No 16 Testapal $11.60 could be a good outsider here, will need to step up a little but handles the wet. No 4 Amaethon $11.30 has two good runs back from the spell and on breeding should handle the wet track. No 13 Lexcen $26.50 is another outsider with good form on the wet. No 1 Belavan $4.20 favourite is 5 starts for 5 wins and this by far the hardest task but must respect. No 3 Overtake $9.90 likes the wet and will be very fit here. For multiples No 5 Launay $15.50 and No 9 Alpharari $59.50.

For quadrella players, pool your money and go wide. It is the best way to have a chance at winning a big dividend.

My quadrella numbers I am looking around are:

Race 7 – 3, 8, 11, 12, 24

Race 8 – 1, 6, 10

Race 9 – 4, 6, 12, 18

Race 10 – 1, 3, 4, 5, 13, 16

This quadrella would cost $432 a full unit but I could still be changing these numbers depending on a number of factors.

If you want to know what I am backing, leave a comment and your email. It won’t be published and I will send through my bets and also my best multiples for the day.
