Moonee Valley Horse Racing Tips Friday 1st October 2010

Race 1 – No 8 Very Cherry has an excellent chance is this hard race. Back in May she ran an excellent race against Precious Lorraine, she comes into the straight and switches off heels, at the 400mtrs has to bump a little and loses a little momentum before really knuckling down well. No 1 Julich won well last start, fought very hard on a very heavy track for the win. No 6 Danemark has been scratched 3 times since his close up 2nd at Geelong returning from a spell. Was finding the line well. No 3 Quadrant for multiples.

Race 2 – No 4 Alotta Spur won well on debut hitting the line hard to just get up. Spelled and returned with another solid run against Soul over 1000mtrs. Last start had blood in both nostrils but from external trauma. Has had 79 days and I think a good chance here. No 7 Belle Chantecler ran into a pocket into the straight, switched off heels, then had to push into the clear and still finished over the top of the others. A nice win. No 9 Margiela had to really fight hard for the win last start, laid in a little and had to be straightened but found line well for gutsy win.

Race 3 – No 5 Gallant Lady $3 is 3rd run back from the spell, is a Galileo so the further the better. Is sure to be much fitter and is well placed at the weights. No 6 Wickedly $12 is also nominated for the 100k Benalla Gold Cup on Sunday. It was a really nice win last start, watching the video really found the line well. A couple of whacks with the whip on the turn and then a few in the straight. In two for two over the distance is she starts. No 7 Zauberin $5.50 has three good runs under her belt this preparation and has Boss on board.

Race 4 – A good value race outside the favourite. No 9 Amaudra $7.50 is solid first up and at the distance. At a good weight and a nice bet at these odds. No 8 Tully Dreamer $7.50 although missed the money in both second up runs I am willing to give a chance seeing Oliver is on board and drops 3.5kgs on his first up run. The favourite No 1 Mo Money $3.20 has two seconds, one against Doubtful jack and We’re Gonna Rock, two wins since back from the spell will make him the favourite for sure.

Race 5 – I am going with Humaway $3.70, has a bad barrier but will slot midfield hopefully one off the fence and track the leaders. Has built up distance well this preparation. No 3 Doosra Diamond $2.80 the favourite will again be there at the finish. Was a good win last start. No 6 My Free Will $6.50 not such a bad run against Doosra Diamond last start and Boss on board sure to get a good chance.

Race 6 – No 1 Europa Point $3 returns from a spell, is 3 wins from 3 starts from the spell and 3 wins from 4 start the distance, 2 starts at the track for 2 wins. Has run against some very smart horses. Will be very hard to beat. No 4 Miss Octopussy $3.30 is going to give her a run for her money for sure. She had 3 excellent runs against Dubleanny last preparation and her first up run this preparation was good. Will be much fitter. For the multiples No 2 Alpharari $12 and No 3 Show Sttealer $14.

Race 7 – No 2 Token of Honour $2.50 will be his last run before the 2.5M Caulfield Cup, three runs this preparation, a good run against Charbet, Hasto Pronto and last start against Rainbow Styling worked home well from midfield. No 9 Vallico $9 should be super fit for this. Three runs back this preparation and two really hammering home. Last start at Warrnambool was 4 wide, held up the turn flying home for a good win. Drops 4kgs in weight as well. No 4 Olympic Win $8 could be a big improver, comes back onto his right leg for racing after a race in Sydney, back in January led Apprehend and Grand Destiny over 2500mtrs before being claimed 250mtrs out. For multiples No 3 Astro Gains $5.50 and No 1 Irazu $9.50.

Race 8 – I am hoping the two Testa Rossa horses fight this race out. No 6 Testa Rocketa $2.50 is a little short for me, does have a good 2nd up record but distance not so good and never raced at the tight Valley track. No 1 Testascana $9.20 has drawn the outside barrier not good for this race but with some luck will get a good start and sit. Watching his win last start impressed as he strode out, could be a nice way to finish the night. No 8 Royal Grace is a whopping $18.20, has drawn a bad barrier but distance, fist up and track all favour him. Also No 2 Alannan Lad $4.20 for multiples.

Geelong Horse Racing Tips Thursday 30th September 2010

Race 1 – No 5 Sparkling Stone ran a solid first up run at Geelong, got held up and momentum stopped before pushing into the clear, fought hard to just go down.

Race 3 – No 6 Chasse was scratched yesterday at Ballarat, last start was flying home after being dead last at the turn and wide, much better barrier and hard to beat. Also nominated Monday.

Race 4 – No 9 Miserey ran a very good race from a wide barrier last start, made good ground late and extra metres should suit. Also No 3 Stanhill fought really hard last start to just go down.

Race 5 – No 4 Rockabee Miss won well last start, was 3 wide most of the run and off the turn 4 wide before really knuckling down late and striding clear, nice win.

Race 6 – No 6 Niblick has two good races returning from the spell, a big 7 length win and then a really good close-up 4th, the horse worked up prior to the start. Is also nominated Sunday and Monday.

Race 7 – I really hard race as all the horses are just on the better side of donkeys. On breeding most are pushing this distance, but No 4 Cluziel with a good jockey and trainer and drops weight, breeding No 9 Kissy Lips out of Jeune

Ballarat Horse Racing Tips Wednesday 29th September 2010 Victoria Australia

Race 1 – A maiden for 3yo, a heap of first starters so watch the markets. Of the raced lot No 4 Kookaburras from Lee Freedman owned by the Sheik Mohammed first two race runs in Listed Company weren’t so bad. Is well bred and his Doomben Slipper run was making good ground. No 9 Redwin won his trial and well bred and the others watch markets.

Race 2 – This is a hard race, watch markets again. No 6 Varenna Miss returns and has won two barrier trials coming back in this preparation. Her first race run wasn’t so bad as she was slow away and then played up a little in the run. Found contact and shifted off the track but still found the line. No 9 The Yak Attack is out of Choisir who was very handy over the sprint and watch betting carefully. Also watch markets on No 3 Quick Reek, No 5 The Woodsman and No 2 Power Point.

Race 3 – No 4 Simple Task, if you look at his form it looks nothing special, but if you watch the races they really aren’t so bad. He over raced in two of these races back from the spell and last start ran a decent race before being held up and then laid in. I expect a big improvement. No 7 Jillee last start was really solid and just missed out after being held up, is a Galileo so extra metres no worries. No 9 Queen Asa will appreciate the better track and the jockey as well.

Race 4 – No 6 Tea for Three impressed me last preparation with her speed, she is slow out of the barriers and first up from barrier 1 got back on the rails, and then tried to fan wide, held up and the blocked before finishing really well. Needs to jump better but this barrier is better is a little slow. Keep an eye on No 14 Shezaten as Vasil has her nominated for the 1 million Caulfield Guineas. She does find the line well and will be better schooled now. No 2 Miss La Fenz will be much better for her first up preparation.

Race 5 – No 3 Albert Park Lake returned with a nice win, big things were expected of him and looks to better for his first preparation. No 9 Johnnydrama is solid over the 1000mtrs and will give this a shake. No 4 Roll With It a good chance for the minors.

Race 6 – No 2 Kapu Star (also nominated Saturday Murtoa Cup) looks good this preparation, two good runs but will need to be right on to beat No 6 Ruadhan who is racing well, finding the line well and Nolen on board a big bonus. No 9 Well Rounded will appreciate the extra metres. No 3 Unapred for multiples.

Race 7 – No 9 Miss O’Brien returns from her spell, she ran against Tallow, Speedy Natalie and Dubleanny last preparation. Is interesting to see her back and see how she looks. No 6 Rubellite is back from a long spell 329 days and change of trainers, another one to watch. No 4 Mondelago distance and second up all solid, of the only horse that made ground in her first up run on a very heavy track. No 7 Genuine Edge back after 612 days, looked a nice horse his first preparation. No 3 Dazza as it is my nephew’s nickname.

Race 8 – No 13 Chapin doesn’t have the best barrier (14) but does have speed and could cross these to lead. Last start win was very nice. No 12 Get Out of Town is better than form may suggest, his run against Precious Lorraine was good as he hit the lead at the 1300mtr mark before Precious Lorraine hit top gear. No 1 Niblick I look forward to seeing back on the turf and away from the Geelong synthetic track. For multiples No 15 Steel Stilettos and No 8 Keep Cool.
