Geelong Cup Horse Racing Tips Wednesday 20th October 2010 Victoria Australia

I am a professional punter living outside Australia. I punt for a living and for years been helping my mates out with my tips. I have friends on the inside and a professional at reading form. I watch 100’s of videos each week to pick my winners.

I only bet on Victorian races. At times when Victorian horses are interstate I will offer tips at those meetings.

I have decided to share my tips, hopefully to help the normal punter win a few bucks on the weekend.

Remember, never bet more than you can afford to lose. If gambling is a problem contact professional help in your state, city or country. Victoria Horse Racing supports responsible gambling initiatives.

Good luck if having a punt and remember to gamble responsibly.

Geelong Cup Horse Racing Tips Wednesday 20th October 2010

Race 1 – 1403mtrs – 12.00pm – No 11 Kookaburras returned from his spell with a solid run, looked a much better horse than his first preparation. He did run in two hard races his first two runs as well, the Blue Sapphire and Doomben Slipper. Has had 12 days since that first run and will be much fitter for sure. No 7 Blonde Mafia is across from Sydney and owned by Nathan Tinkler was scratched on the 16th and is sure to give this a shake. No 10 Choose Greatness has a terrible barrier but I liked his last run when he opened up making good ground late. No 5 Sweeneys Lane will be much better for his first up run.

Race 2 - 1203mtrs – 12.30pm – No 5 Libby’s Daughter ran a hige race at Ballarat last start. If you watch the race, she is squeezed eased back last on the rails. Is 5 lengths off the leader at the 600mtrs then tacks onto the field 400mtrs out, fanned 4 wide, bumps with another horse and ran onto the back of another before finally switching 7 wide about 150mtrs out and motoring home, a good thing beaten. No 3 President is also nominated Friday, this horse is well bred and personally I think he will come back a much better horse here. No 7 God Help Us won well on debut at Bendigo, really hit the line full of running. No 10 Anabaa’s Legacy won well second up leading and kicking away for a strong win.

Race 3 – 1705mtrs – 01.00pm – No 5 Napier (nominated Friday, Sunday, Monday) I have watched all his races and the win at Geelong in December 09 was good, is well bred and first start from the spell not so bad, just looked a little underdone and will be much better here for sure. No 2 I’m The Fiddle has two very good runs back from the spell and was making good ground last start. No 10 Magnetic East is only a maiden but last two runs with Oliver on board were good before being freshened. No 12 The Scumpa form before last start was terrible, did run well with no luck and could have won the race if clear in the straight.

Race 4 – 1403mtrs – 01.35pm – No 4 The Comedian (Nominated Friday, Sunday) looked good returning from the spell. Worked to the line well and will be much fitter here. No 8 Brampton has two strong runs this preparation, last start led before weakening 50mtrs from the line. Will be fitter and back to 1400mtrs. No 11 Cudgewa is a solid horse, ran a good race after 60 day let up, must respect. No 6 Ruse De Guerre comes back in distance and will be super fit here. No 2 Irel (nominated Friday and Sunday) is an interesting purchase for Crown Casino owner, Williams. On breeding will be a stayer but watch markets carefully.

Race 5 – 2406mtrs – 02.10pm – No 4 Tanby the Galileo horse has stepped up in distance well each time as you would expect. 3 wins in a row and could make it 4. No 6 Pasa Robles gets top international jockey on board Gerald Mosse, this horse will appreciate the extra metres. No 7 Sir Walter is racing well and sure to give this a shake with Zahara on board. No 11 Don Sebastian a very solid run last start, drops weight and will be a chance.

Race 6 – 2206mtrs – 02.45-m – Plenty of these horse are nominated for the 200K AAMI Vase on the 23rd and the 1.5M AAMI Derby on the 30th. No 3 Magnifique Soleil $3 has Oliver on board, one ride for a win and the horse is racing very well. No 6 Scotland The Brave $5 did win well last start but the time nothing special. No 4 Milestone $7.50 ran a gutsy race last start, will need Williams to ride him perfectly and if enough in the tank a chance. No 1 Karinata $7.50 is across from Sydney but may find this a little too far but racing well.

Race 7 – 1203mtrs – 03.20pm – I am going to risk the favourite in this race. No 5 Miss Inform $9 is a horse to like, is gutsy and fights hard. She has 3 wins and a second from 4 starts. Last start jumped away a little awkwardly, went to the lead on the turn 3 wide, was challenged late but fought hard. No 6 Redgum Prince $11 finds the line really well, two starts back from the spell have been very good, back in distance here will suit. No 12 So Elusive $4.40 favourite from NZ, did win impressively on debut in Australia, is 2 from 2 over the 1200mtrs in NZ. No 8 Shadowfax $6.50 is another NZ horse, his first two Australian runs were good before being spelled so watch markets.

Race 8 – Geelong Cup 2406mtrs – 04.40pm – No 10 Mr Charlie $7.50 (Nominated Saturday) I think has an excellent chance, only three runs on Australian soil. Beat Fanjura over 1700mtrs, then 5th to Rainbow Styling over 2000mtrs, before going to Sydney being beaten by Herculian Prince over 2400mtrs. The last run was much better than it looks, did a lot wrong and finished closer than should have. I think a big chance. No 2 Drunken Sailor $6.50 (Nominated Saturday) needs to be respected, has excellent form from overseas and has trained well from all reports. No 9 Exceptionally $7.50 is a horse finding the line well late, Nikolic has a good horse under him and if he can be a little closer to the lead a chance. No 14 Gallant Lady $21 is way over if you ask me and a good each-way bet. Is a Galileo so the further the better, has come back looking very good from the spell. For multiples No 4 Once Were Wild $9.

Race 9 – 1503mtrs – 04.40pm – No 7 Garozzo $6 has come back well from the spell, two very solid runs and will be very fit here. No 8 Work The Room $5 has a bad barrier but a good jockey and excellent form since returning from the spell. No 12 St Ives $21 also drawn wide but ran and solid first up run, Zahara will give him every chance. No 17 Eight Pieces $9 is running very well and a chance light. For multiples go wide and include No 6 Cyclone Al $4.80 and No 13 Bon Marche $9.

Race 10 – 1203mtrs – 05.20pm – What a hard race and many chances. No 13 Mo Money $5.50 is a very solid horse and won well first up. No 6 Anteros $9.50 won well first up, was tightened for room but still too good. No 3 Coup Align $4.20 have to respect his record and watch markets carefully. No 7 Glaneuse $9.50 really finishes his races off well, if a clear run will be right there. An outsider No 2 Orbit Express $17 ran 2nd to Stanzout back in March over 1200mtrs in 1-9.15, so can run well fresh.

If you want to know what I am backing, leave a comment and your email. It won’t be published and I will send through my bets and also my best multiples for the day.
