Moonee Valley Horse Racing Saturday 2nd July 2011 Victoria Australia

I am a professional punter living outside Australia. I punt for a living and for years been helping my mates out with my tips. I have friends on the inside and a professional at reading form.

I watch 100’s of videos each week to pick my winners. I only bet on Victorian races. At times when Victorian horses are interstate I will offer tips at those meetings. I have decided to share my tips, hopefully to help the normal punter win a few bucks on the weekend.

Remember, never bet more than you can afford to lose. If gambling is a problem contact professional help in your state, city or country. Victoria Horse Racing supports responsible gambling initiatives. Good luck if having a punt and remember to gamble responsibly.

Moonee Valley Horse Racing Victoria Australia

On a dead 5 track with fine weather forecast. Maybe an upgrade through the day. See if I can steer us the right way.

Race 1 – 2040mtrs 3yo Handicap – 12.25pm

This is a weak race and the standout is No 3 You Think So $1.45 by a mile. He is still a lightly raced gelding and is too short for me but should walk this in by a good margin. I have had an exotic, an exacta taking You Think So with No 2 Lopov $3.80 finished not too far behind him last start and did a little wrong and also a bit unlucky here and there. For the trifecta I am going to take 3 / 2 / 5, 1 for 100 units.

Race 2 – 1200mtrs 2yo Handicap – 01.00pm

This is a harder race with a few first starters and also some with interstate form. No 1 Heza Bargain $9 has been freshened and a good run in Adelaide last start, will lead and give them something to chase down, the weight is the worry but a short straight he could pinch this. No 10 Upbeat $3.50 is the horse to beat for sure. A big run here at the track last start and will be very hard to hold out here. No 2 Snip N Run $9.50 can forgive last run as did over-race and just used too much gas early on. First starter No 8 Pied A Terre $4 is solid in the markets. Keep an eye on the markets for first starter No 5 Big Clint $7 has trials under the belt and a handy trainer.

Race 3 – 1000mtrs 3yo Handicap – 01.35pm

An open race and a blanket could be thrown over a number of horses at the end here. No 2 Marmaa $8.50 is juicy odds here. Two starts back at Caulfield not a lot of luck and then a good win in Adelaide in an easier race, but looks good in the running and a threat. No 7 Shiny and New $16 is back from a long spell, watch markets she can sprint. No 4 Typeface $12 has drawn wide and was gelded during the spell. Will probably want more distance but still not surprised if runs a big race. No 6 Turiff $6 can more than hold his own here, is light and a good jockey steering. For multiples keep No 1 General Truce $4.20 safe.

Race 4 – 1514mtrs 3yo & up Fillies & Mares Handicap – 02.10pm

This is another open race. No 1 Deliver The Dream $4 does go up in weight but the apprentice on board with 3kg claim a big help. She will again take running down and if she can ping off the turn hard to catch. No 5 Banri Maeve $8.50 also has a 3kg claim and getting back on top of the ground she will give this a shake. No 6 Jalsah $5 returns from a good win in Adelaide, the time was nothing flash but came from a long way back. For multiples No 9 Fashion Black $13 could add some good value, has been in work a while.

Race 5 – 1200mtrs 3yo & up Fillies & Mares Handicap – 02.45pm

No 3 Rue Maple $2.90
is my first bet in the early markets, I backed her on Thursday morning after hearing good things earlier this week about her. She is racing very well and the better ground a bonus for me. No 4 Sneaky Tsu $6 had two solid trials before a strong win at Swan Hill. No 2 Ariarni $9 and No 5 The Long Road $5 for the multiples.

Race 6 – 1514mtrs Handicap – 03.20pm

No 13 Mr Make Believe $2.80
I have already backed for my biggest bet of the day. This is much harder being open Saturday class than last two start wins. Reports were good this week and is light and a big chance to win first Saturday grade start. No 6 Share a Fortune $6 watch markets, New Zealand form is decent but I have heard nothing from the tracks. No 1 Philda $5.50 I would have said a chance to challenge for the win but the wide barrier is a worry. No 2 Light Vision $41 could add some big value to multiples. Will be better for the first run and even better when more ground but expect a better performance.

Race 7 – 2040mtrs Handicap – 03.55pm

This is a nice race. No 6 Pass Me By $4.60 goes back into open Saturday class and drops a lot of weight, will ping out and lead or sit on the lead and if he can get an easy run very hard to get over the top of at this weight. No 8 Dance With Her $4.80 is racing well and at 51kgs sure to run a big race. No 9 Go My Girl $12 is racing well and last start did have abrasions on the hind so excuses, form was solid before that and still ran a good race last start. No 2 Gotta Keep Cool $11 and No 1 Fashion Black $6.50 for multiple players.

Race 8 – 1200mtrs 0 – 89 Handicap – 04.30pm

No 3 Beyond Pardon $4.40
did too much work last start and faded, his start before in the Gold Topaz a good run. No 11 They Won’t Last $15 is across from Adelaide and Tinkler takes straight to town. Does go well fresh and has a turn of foot. No 5 Ortayga $6 likes the Valley and is racing well. No 8 Honour Ron $16 I personally think is way overs here and a nice chance at longer odds.
