I am a professional punter living outside Australia. I punt for a living and for years been helping my mates out with my tips. I have friends on the inside and a professional at reading form. I watch 100’s of videos each week to pick my winners.
I only bet on Victorian races. At times when Victorian horses are interstate I will offer tips at those meetings.
I have decided to share my tips, hopefully to help the normal punter win a few bucks on the weekend.
Remember, never bet more than you can afford to lose. If gambling is a problem contact professional help in your state, city or country. Victoria Horse Racing supports responsible gambling initiatives.
Good luck if having a punt and remember to gamble responsibly.
Geelong Horse Racing Tips Tuesday 25th January 2011
Race 1 – 1112mtrs Maiden Plate – 01.00pm
Only 6 starters at the moment with the scratching, looking at the first starters No 4 Jake Boy out of Face Value who was a nice sprinter, Face Value won his first three race starts and went on to run very good races in Group 1 – 3 races. No 3 Del Porto is out of Stratum and he was a good sprinter winning the Pago Pago and Golden Slipper. No 5 Coeur Du Cheval is out of Show a Heart and we know how good this horse was but will probably be doing best work too late and want more distance. No 6 Daughter of Fortune returns from her spell, her first preparation she went around in much harder races and will be better for that racing.
Race 2 – 1212mtrs 3yo Maiden Plate – 01.30pm
No 1 Crystal Downs the first starter is nominated for the Australian Guineas on March 5th at Flemington, out of Stravinsky so watch markets closely. No 4 One of the Boys is a first starter for Mark Kavanagh out of Canny Lad and wasn’t he a horse and a half. Should be good first up for sure. No 11 Trista Rossa won a barrier trial nicely on the 10th of January, she will be better for her first preparation. No 6 Democrat returns from the spell, will be a better horse for sure, is well bred and a good stable.
Race 3 – 1312mtrs Maiden Plate – 02.00pm
No 5 Heritage returned from the spell looking much better, posted 3 wide in this race with no cover and weakened late, will be fitter and a big chance here. He is nominated for the Australian Guineas. No 4 Caulfield ran a good race first up at Geelong considering, he wasn’t away well, over raced, ran into a narrow gap and then had to go around heels finding the line. No 3 Hausratte should be better than his first start, I think will be much improved here. No 9 Coral Reef ran a nice first up race, on breeding should want further but will be a chance at the places.
Race 4 – 1512mtrs Maiden Plate – 02.30pm
No 4 Kerford from Robert Hickmott and casino man Williams. Having his first start (maybe as nominated 4 times this week), must watch markets as out of Galileo and this distance and further is what he should want. No 7 Clemente ran a good first up run, was unlucky in this race as hampered at the start, couldn’t get a clear run in the straight. Looked very green in his run and will be much better for this run. No 6 Zip Ole has been let up for 61 days, ran some nice races here and there and the freshen up could be just the thing. No 12 Prince Paragon first up run was okay but when vetted was slow recovering, came from well back on the turn making nice ground.
Race 5 – 1212mtrs Class 1 Handicap – 03.00pm
No 5 Enjin Number Nine if he starts here (nominated Friday MV night 80K race and also Australian Guineas) looks the horse to beat for me, won on debut at Bendigo in an easy maiden before taking on Flokkati and Marmaa who are both shaping as nice horses now. In this race he did so much wrong, reared in the barrier and got his near foreleg over the partition, was vetted and passed fit to run. Jumped away badly shifting in and making big contact, then had to check early in the running when tightened. Came home well but laid in down the straight. I will hit big if he starts here. No 2 Loudest from the Snowden camp, a Lohnro gelding that came back from a long 546 day spell and has had three good runs. No 10 Zaeem he hasn’t done anything special to date but his first up run from the spell was nice; he looked much better and showed some of his breeding from Magic Albert hitting the line hard late. No 1 State Grade watching his last 4 starts he finds the line very well. Is first up here and sure to be ready for this and a big threat.
Race 6 – 2418mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 03.30pm
This is a very average race being nice, No 2 Hurricane Trader has been freshened a little. Last start was held up a long way in the straight and only clear too late making ground to the line. Looks like the extra metres will suit. No 13 Milenka I have watched some of her races and not so bad, is a big chance in this weak race. No 7 Marker I think will be an improver here, has run well at Geelong and last start was a hard run but fought hard. No 1 General Iglesia is better than last start, this will be a big test but a chance for the places.
Race 7 – 1715mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 04.00pm
Again this is an average race for me, I like the best No 2 Peace An Quiet, he won last start in an easy race and did it hard as was held up before finding the line well. No 3 Spellberg, his first up run from the spell was nothing special and he usually takes a few runs to get going but this is weak and a chance. No 8 Royal Inquest caught my eye with his last run, was making nice ground late. No 5 Twiginthedesert has been around the mark of late and the opposition here a bit easier.
Race 8 – 1412mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 04.30pm
No 3 Shrapnel Gully has two runs under his belt and last start led a long way before being over run late. No 4 Flash O’Brilliance ran a good first up run at Seymour, was working home well late. A big chance for win number two here. No 10 Oforawsome (nominated Thursday, Friday) came across from NZ and his first run here was just outclassed. I would respect in this stable and first up from the spell. No 2 Firejet first up from the spell was really hitting the line hard late.
Race 9 – 1412mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 05.00pm
No 9 Java Jack (nominated Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat) should have two wins from two starts to his name, his first race run was checked very badly but stormed home for a good second. Then won in a small 4 horse field at Cranbourne before being spelled for 170 days, sure to be ready if he starts here. No 6 Mojo Working has a bad barrier but I have watched a few of his races and he does find the line well, has been freshened and Arnold is a very good jockey. No 4 Nothing By Half made good ground returning from the spell, has run some good races on the synthetic here at Geelong just needs to do it on the turf. No 5 St James Lane is first up here, has a trial under the belt and will be better than that run for sure.
