I am a professional punter living outside Australia. I punt for a living and for years been helping my mates out with my tips. I have friends on the inside and a professional at reading form.
I watch 100’s of videos each week to pick my winners. I only bet on Victorian races. At times when Victorian horses are interstate I will offer tips at those meetings. I have decided to share my tips, hopefully to help the normal punter win a few bucks on the weekend.
Remember, never bet more than you can afford to lose. If gambling is a problem contact professional help in your state, city or country. Victoria Horse Racing supports responsible gambling initiatives. Good luck if having a punt and remember to gamble responsibly.
Wangaratta Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia
This is a hard day of racing so if having a punt do so wisely as it could be a day of roughies here.
Race 1 – 1000mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 12.00pm
This is a very average race and some of these horses are atrocious if you ask me. I have sat watching videos shaking my head but this is country racing and maiden class. I will start with the unraced No 9 Now You’re Flying and she is unseen but on breeding she is a chance to win this with the others not being a lot of chop. No 1 Armona is also unraced but with a trial could run a cheeky race here but on breeding for me will be better at least around the 1200 – 1400mtrs. Of the raced lot No 12 Zilch (nom Wed, Thur) in a handy stable and even though didn’t show a lot first back from the spell need to give a chance as breeding is decent. No 7 Con Air is another you just have to give a chance as should be better than only run to date.
Race 2 – 1170mtrs 3yo Maiden Plate (set weights) – 12.30pm
Again a hard maiden and watch markets closely. Unraced No 6 Red Eclipse on breeding a chance for me for sure but sure to be better at least up to the mile but should run a cheeky race over this distance as a youngster. No 11 Lillyofthevalley (nom Wed, Thur) is from the Moody camp and on her debut didn’t seem to handle the track conditions. Give a chance and watch markets closely because on breeding should be much better than that run. No 1 Cash Currency (nom Thur) a decent debut and I think will be better suited on the better track as well. No 3 Full Hand in the more than handy country stable of Brian Cox. A good debut on his home track making good ground late.
Race 3 – 1170mtrs (C2) 3yo & up Fillies & Mares 0 – 62 Handicap – 01.00pm
Another race to be wary of, bet smartly or not at all. Watch markets closely and keep wagers small if you ask me. No 7 Handcut on debut she was horrible and raced ungenerously most the race, she was very green. Second up she was much better behaved and a good hard fought win. No 10 Glowing Edge her record doesn’t look fantastic but she does find the line well and will be better for her first up run from the spell. No 12 No More Dolls watching videos I think you have to just give a chance for this horse as she is not so bad. No 3 Little Hope (nom Thur) will lead from this barrier and give them something to chase down, last start she got worked up in the barriers and vetted and ran a good front running race.
Race 4 – 1400mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 01.36pm
No 5 Tye Rock (nom Wed) returns from his first spell. He should be better schooled and watching both his runs he wasn’t so bad. Give a chance for sure. No 4 Smokin Tiger an ex Tassie horse that first up raced a little too keenly last start but fought hard right to the line. No 6 Zappa Lightning has been freshened and this is not a strong race and could give this a shake.
Race 5 – 1400mtrs 3yo & up Maiden Plate (set weights) – 02.12pm
No 2 Horse Power One a good run back from the spell. I thought was gone at the turn as looked under a heap of pressure near the turn but he dug deep and lifted and found the line well. Should have trained on and be fitter and a chance on that run for me. No 12 Lenore (nom Wed, Thur) looks a handy horse and is just a little green. Has over-raced in last couple of runs and if the jockey can get her to settle she could be a threat. No 6 Cheatin Charlie just have to give a chance, should be better than last start.
Race 6 – 2010mtrs 0 - 58 Handicap – 02.48pm
A very average stayers race here. No 11 Master Avatar (nom Wed) only has two starts under the belt and last start over a mile worked home well so a chance to run this out. No 13 Christos Boy worked home well last start, got a little too far back and came wide down the straight finding the line strongly. No 9 Roman Waters won last start, the time nothing spectacular but was a decent win. No 1 Mystic Tere Toa just have to respect, to date very disappointing but respect.
Race 7 – 1000mtrs 0 - 62 Handicap – 03.25pm
No 10 Flame And Fury won well on debut, sat up on the speed and then kicked away for a strong win and this doesn’t look a lot harder. No 2 Marotoalda has speed and will push across and hopefully get a good sit up outside the lead. This horse looks nice watching the videos and before going to the paddock was backed from $51 to $26 at Caulfield but never got into the race. The start before a decent win at Seymour. No 9 Very Humorous has speed and will more than likely lead and make them run her down. No 7 Fappiano’s Lad on potential and class this horse is the best but so unpredictable.
Race 8 – 1600mtrs 0 - 72 Handicap – 04.00pm
No 4 Jetconi if he is right he can run a very good race. He has the runs under the belt here and usually backs up well as only raced a week ago. No 8 All That Razz (nom Thur) I have watched her last three starts and she finds the line well. A very good light weight chance. No 3 Doyadeal was stepped out to the 1400mtrs for the first time last start and not a bad run as did have a little interference in the straight and didn’t jump all that well. First time over the mile and will just have to see if he runs the distance out. No 5 Enchanting Water first up from the spell was a hard run and give a chance, is better than that. No 7 Sambora even has a chance on current form as racing well.
Race 9 – 1300mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 04.40pm
No 1 Better Be Sure returned with a good win from the spell. They put blinkers on him and they seemed to work. Does have a wide barrier but if can slot in mid field a chance for sure. No 7 Friend In Deed forget last start as had no luck in the running. His win first up from the spell was good. No 9 Beataroundthebush is another to give a chance to. First up I think the heavy track didn’t suit and watching some of his 1400mtr runs he should run this out. No 6 Debt Demolition is another where the track didn’t suit last start I think.
Race 10 – 1300mtrs 0 – 62 Handicap – 05.20pm
And a very hard rce to finish the day off. No 10 Hussallet doesn’t usually go all that well back from the spell and would also like more distance but this isn’t a strong race and he will be coming home hard. No 4 Statler has been freshened and drops back in distance and this will suit better I think.
