Moonee Valley Horse Racing Tips Saturday 31st December 2011 Victoria Australia

I am a professional punter living outside Australia. I punt for a living and for years been helping my mates out with my tips. I have friends on the inside and a professional at reading form.

I watch 100’s of videos each week to pick my winners. I only bet on Victorian races. At times when Victorian horses are interstate I will offer tips at those meetings. I have decided to share my tips, hopefully to help the normal punter win a few bucks on the weekend.

Remember, never bet more than you can afford to lose. If gambling is a problem contact professional help in your state, city or country. Victoria Horse Racing supports responsible gambling initiatives. Good luck if having a punt and remember to gamble responsibly.

Moonee Valley Horse Racing Tips Victoria Australia

My $100 in bets yesterday race 6 No 14 Laugh At Life $50 the win was poor but in Race 7 No 4 Saneyev for $50 the win got up at $3.20 so now $40 in profit again. Today’s $100 is going race 5 No 9 Pied A Terre $3.70 for $100 the win.

Race 1 – 1000mtrs 2yo Handicap (Open set weights) – 06.30pm

An interesting race to get the night off and racing here. Markets are going to be a very good guide here for sure. Current favourite No 2 Ockham’s Razor $3.00 hasn’t been seen since his trial back in October where he did look nice. No 5 Belisama $5 (nom Thur) I thought looked alright in her trial and her stable mate that won the trial was unlucky on debut and raced alright. Hard race so keep an eye on markets.

Race 2 – 2040mtrs 3yo Handicap – 07.00pm

No 2 Westsouthwest $2.30
stepped out to 2,000mtrs last start and a very good win. Did it pretty easily and on that run a big threat. No 1 Soaked $4.60 is another that has stepped up in distance well. Has been finding the line well and should be able to carry the weight. No 7 French Tang $5.50 she improved a lot last start and is handy at the weights.

Race 3 – 1200mtrs 3yo Fillies Handicap – 07.35pm

No 4 Roses In The Glen $6.50
this is a class rise but she did return with a good win from the spell. She has had a nice little break since then and I am sure Price is going to have her ripped here. No 3 Empress Cleo $7.50 another Price runner with two wins in a row back from the spell and finding the line well and should appreciate the extra metres. No 9 Testanova $9 was doing best work too late and just forgive and respect. The favourite No 2 Delegance $3.30 I am willing to risk they will have to push her forward from this barrier and Tykook will come across and lead and I don’t think she can lead all the way.

Race 4 – 955mtrs 0 - 95 Handicap – 08.05pm

No 6 Weekend Special $2.70
I backed on opening markets earlier this week as his win back from the spell was very good. A class rise so drops some weight and I hope he has trained on here. No 1 The Soldier $3.50 is one of the better top end horses I have seen and a shame they didn’t bring him down before now. The 2kg claim a big help and don’t forget this horse was carrying 63kgs up the top end. No 3 General Truce $3.50 I personally think he is a little short at the moment but do need to respect with the 3kg claim.

Race 5 – 1200mtrs 0 – 78 Handicap – 08.35pm

No 9 Pied A Terre $3.20
I got a little better on opening markets at $3.70 and he may drift a little but I cannot see a lot. Returns from his unbeaten two race debut preparation and he looked very good in his trial and wasn’t pushed. I don’t see a lot of threats here. No 15 Chewing Steel $13 is one scratching way from getting a run and this is a lot harder than last starts 62 handicap it was a good one the speed that was genuine win. Drops a wallop of weight as well. No 1 Costa In The Glen $7 not a lot of luck returning from the spell and the extra metres should suit. No 4 Jugahlation $6 (nom Mon) if starts should be in this a long way.

Race 6 – 1600mtrs 0 – 82 Handicap – 09.05pm

When I was doing the form for this race I thought it was pretty open and think that the current top couple of picks are a little short for me. No 10 Bolton $3.40 for sure is a big threat and last start at Caulfield when making good ground copped a bump and then had to check. Will appreciate the mile and further. No 13 Lonhreign $4.60 (nom Mon) no jockey nominated here yet and if starts a good chance as stays down in the weights and a good win last start. He seems a lot better in the blinkers this preparation. No 14 Murdoch’s Joy $4.60 a big run last start and not a lot of luck on the fence as no clear running until about 100mtrs out and found the line well. Gets regular rider back on top here as well. An outsider for roughie punters No 6 Keep Control $21 I heard a whisper from a friend that he is going well in training and has run the odd solid race so I had a little $100 each-way bet. Will fund most of New Years dinner party if gets up.

Race 7 – 2040mtrs 0 – 72 Handicap – 09.35pm

I am giving No 14 Slippery Satin $3.40 a chance. Forgive after being terribly away last start. Is not the best away usually but last start was horrible. Struggled to get into the race and only come off the heels last 300mtrs out and did work home alright. I do think this horse is much better than we have seen. No 7 Apres $6.50 is going very well this preparation. Hasn’t helped himself the last couple of starts over-racing and pulling in the early running. If Nikolic can get him all together he is a big threat for me. No 9 Danahere $10 usually needs a few runs and has that now. Last start threw a shoe and pulled up sore but I think we should see a better horse. No 1 Bel Sir $7.50 a cheeky front running win last start and with the 3kg claim will try and do it again here. No 10 Bold Trojan $4.60 was disappointing last start but this stable you have to respect.

Race 8 – 1000mtrs 4yo & up Mares Handicap – 10.05pm

All I know is Luke Nolen cannot ride two horses at once. No 11 Show Up $4.40 came across from NZ and won her trial and then also a good win on a heavy 8 at Sandown in good time and a strong win. Moody also has him nominated of his only runner so will have to wait and see. I am looking at backing her but do want better odds of at least $5 in this hard and open race. No 2 Big Spirit $6.50 will led and if she can get away with not going too hard a big threat. No 4 Centexpress $9 is a little wide and she may try and tear across and lead but hopefully goes for the sit and tries to run them down. No 1 Obsidian Dragon $4 can carry the big weight and racing well.
